Question 1

What do mechanical 2017 HYUNDAI TUCSON models sell for?

Accepted Answer

Across 156 recorded sales of the 2017 HYUNDAI TUCSON with mechanical damage, the median was $3,850, from $3,100 to $5,100. That is level with the $3,850 median for the model across every damage type, over the last 36 months. Estimates from past sales, not a valuation.

Question 2

Was $3,000 a good price for this 2017 HYUNDAI TUCSON?

Accepted Answer

2669 comparable 2017 HYUNDAI TUCSON listings sold at auction for a median of $3,850, spanning $3,100 to $5,300. At $3,000 this one went 22% below that median. Auction prices reflect as-is condition, so the gap usually comes down to damage severity, mileage and whether the car runs.

Question 3

How much below its undamaged value did this HYUNDAI TUCSON sell for?

Accepted Answer

The insurer put this 2017 HYUNDAI TUCSON's pre-damage retail value at $11,700. It sold for $3,000 — 74% below that. A gap this size is normal for auction vehicles: the buyer takes on the repair cost, the paperwork and the risk that damage is worse than the photos show.

Question 4

What does "RUN AND DRIVES" mean on this listing?

Accepted Answer

RUN AND DRIVES is the auction's own condition note for this 2017 HYUNDAI TUCSON. It means the vehicle started and moved under its own power during a brief check at the yard. It is not a mechanical inspection and says nothing about how far it would drive. Anything beyond that has to come from the photos and a physical inspection.

Question 5

How far is this HYUNDAI TUCSON from an export port?

Accepted Answer

The lot sat at COPART in PA - EBENSBURG. The nearest major vehicle export port is Newark, roughly 150 miles away. Moving a car that distance on an open carrier typically runs $200-$300, which is a real part of the landed cost and one reason identical cars fetch different bids depending on where they sit. Rates are indicative market figures rather than quotes, and rise with fuel prices and in winter.

Question 6

Is 124,927 miles high for a 2017 HYUNDAI TUCSON?

Accepted Answer

Comparable 2017 HYUNDAI TUCSON listings at auction averaged 97,116 miles across 2669 sales, so at 124,927 miles this one sits 29% above that. At salvage auctions mileage moves the price far less than damage does — a low-mileage car with structural damage will still sell under a higher-mileage clean one.
