Question 1

What do undercarriage 2017 HYUNDAI TUCSON models sell for?

Accepted Answer

Across 28 recorded sales of the 2017 HYUNDAI TUCSON with undercarriage damage, the median was $3,800, from $3,100 to $4,600. That is level with the $3,800 median for the model across every damage type, over the last 36 months. Estimates from past sales, not a valuation.

Question 2

Was $6,700 a good price for this 2017 HYUNDAI TUCSON?

Accepted Answer

2770 comparable 2017 HYUNDAI TUCSON listings sold at auction for a median of $3,800, spanning $3,100 to $5,300. At $6,700 this one went 76% above that median. Auction prices reflect as-is condition, so the gap usually comes down to damage severity, mileage and whether the car runs.

Question 3

How much below its undamaged value did this HYUNDAI TUCSON sell for?

Accepted Answer

The insurer put this 2017 HYUNDAI TUCSON's pre-damage retail value at $15,385. It sold for $6,700 — 56% below that. A gap this size is normal for auction vehicles: the buyer takes on the repair cost, the paperwork and the risk that damage is worse than the photos show.

Question 4

What does "RUN AND DRIVES" mean on this listing?

Accepted Answer

RUN AND DRIVES is the auction's own condition note for this 2017 HYUNDAI TUCSON. It means the vehicle started and moved under its own power during a brief check at the yard. It is not a mechanical inspection and says nothing about how far it would drive. Anything beyond that has to come from the photos and a physical inspection.

Question 5

Is 147,312 miles high for a 2017 HYUNDAI TUCSON?

Accepted Answer

Comparable 2017 HYUNDAI TUCSON listings at auction averaged 97,264 miles across 2770 sales, so at 147,312 miles this one sits 51% above that. At salvage auctions mileage moves the price far less than damage does — a low-mileage car with structural damage will still sell under a higher-mileage clean one.

Question 6

What does a salvage title mean for this HYUNDAI TUCSON?

Accepted Answer

This 2017 HYUNDAI TUCSON was sold on a salvage title. A salvage title means an insurer declared the vehicle a total loss. Repairing it and passing a state inspection can convert it to a rebuilt title, which stays on the record permanently and affects resale value.
