Question 1

What do mechanical 2017 HYUNDAI TUCSON models sell for?

Accepted Answer

Across 158 recorded sales of the 2017 HYUNDAI TUCSON with mechanical damage, the median was $3,800, from $3,100 to $5,100. That is level with the $3,800 median for the model across every damage type, over the last 36 months. Estimates from past sales, not a valuation.

Question 2

What does a cert of title-salvage water mean for this HYUNDAI TUCSON?

Accepted Answer

This 2017 HYUNDAI TUCSON was sold on a cert of title-salvage water. A salvage title means an insurer declared the vehicle a total loss. Repairing it and passing a state inspection can convert it to a rebuilt title, which stays on the record permanently and affects resale value.

Question 3

How far is this HYUNDAI TUCSON from an export port?

Accepted Answer

The lot sat at COPART in SC - SPARTANBURG. The nearest major vehicle export port is Charleston, roughly 130 miles away. Moving a car that distance on an open carrier typically runs $200-$300, which is a real part of the landed cost and one reason identical cars fetch different bids depending on where they sit. Rates are indicative market figures rather than quotes, and rise with fuel prices and in winter.

Question 4

What does "RUN AND DRIVES" mean on this listing?

Accepted Answer

RUN AND DRIVES is the auction's own condition note for this 2017 HYUNDAI TUCSON. It means the vehicle started and moved under its own power during a brief check at the yard. It is not a mechanical inspection and says nothing about how far it would drive. Anything beyond that has to come from the photos and a physical inspection.

Question 5

Is 121,733 miles high for a 2017 HYUNDAI TUCSON?

Accepted Answer

Comparable 2017 HYUNDAI TUCSON listings at auction averaged 97,209 miles across 2742 sales, so at 121,733 miles this one sits 25% above that. At salvage auctions mileage moves the price far less than damage does — a low-mileage car with structural damage will still sell under a higher-mileage clean one.

Question 6

Did this 2017 HYUNDAI TUCSON come with keys?

Accepted Answer

Yes — this lot was listed with keys present, which usually means the vehicle could at least be started or moved at the yard. Combined with mechanical damage, that tells you more about its condition than the damage label alone.
