Question 1

What do hail 2018 HYUNDAI SONATA models sell for?

Accepted Answer

Across 49 recorded sales of the 2018 HYUNDAI SONATA with hail damage, the median was $4,263, from $3,200 to $6,500. That is 20% above the $3,550 median for the model across every damage type, over the last 36 months. Estimates from past sales, not a valuation.

Question 2

What does a sk-mechanical inspection required, not branded-saskatchewan mean for this HYUNDAI SONATA?

Accepted Answer

This 2018 HYUNDAI SONATA was sold on a sk-mechanical inspection required, not branded-saskatchewan. The title type is the auction's own classification and determines what can legally be done with the vehicle afterwards.

Question 3

What does "RUN AND DRIVES" mean on this listing?

Accepted Answer

RUN AND DRIVES is the auction's own condition note for this 2018 HYUNDAI SONATA. It means the vehicle started and moved under its own power during a brief check at the yard. It is not a mechanical inspection and says nothing about how far it would drive. Anything beyond that has to come from the photos and a physical inspection.

Question 4

Is 159,980 miles high for a 2018 HYUNDAI SONATA?

Accepted Answer

Comparable 2018 HYUNDAI SONATA listings at auction averaged 79,486 miles across 1177 sales, so at 159,980 miles this one sits 101% above that. At salvage auctions mileage moves the price far less than damage does — a low-mileage car with structural damage will still sell under a higher-mileage clean one.

Question 5

Did this 2018 HYUNDAI SONATA come with keys?

Accepted Answer

Yes — this lot was listed with keys present, which usually means the vehicle could at least be started or moved at the yard. Combined with hail damage, that tells you more about its condition than the damage label alone.
