Question 1

What do rear end 2018 HYUNDAI SONATA models sell for?

Accepted Answer

Across 151 recorded sales of the 2018 HYUNDAI SONATA with rear end damage, the median was $3,550, from $3,050 to $4,500. That is level with the $3,550 median for the model across every damage type, over the last 36 months. Estimates from past sales, not a valuation.

Question 2

Was $3,600 a good price for this 2018 HYUNDAI SONATA?

Accepted Answer

1157 comparable 2018 HYUNDAI SONATA listings sold at auction for a median of $3,550, spanning $3,050 to $4,950. At $3,600 this one went 1% above that median. Auction prices reflect as-is condition, so the gap usually comes down to damage severity, mileage and whether the car runs.

Question 3

How much below its undamaged value did this HYUNDAI SONATA sell for?

Accepted Answer

The insurer put this 2018 HYUNDAI SONATA's pre-damage retail value at $15,181. It sold for $3,600 — 76% below that. A gap this size is normal for auction vehicles: the buyer takes on the repair cost, the paperwork and the risk that damage is worse than the photos show.

Question 4

Is 66,793 miles high for a 2018 HYUNDAI SONATA?

Accepted Answer

Comparable 2018 HYUNDAI SONATA listings at auction averaged 79,337 miles across 1157 sales, so at 66,793 miles this one sits 16% below that. At salvage auctions mileage moves the price far less than damage does — a low-mileage car with structural damage will still sell under a higher-mileage clean one.

Question 5

This HYUNDAI SONATA has rear end and all over damage — how does that affect it?

Accepted Answer

Damage recorded in two areas usually points to a heavier impact than either label suggests on its own, and it raises the odds of structural damage behind the panels. The auction records the primary and secondary areas only; it does not assess the frame. Photographs and, where available, a physical inspection are the only way to judge how far it goes.

Question 6

How far is this HYUNDAI SONATA from an export port?

Accepted Answer

The lot sat at COPART in TN - MEMPHIS. The nearest major vehicle export port is Savannah, roughly 400 miles away. Moving a car that distance on an open carrier typically runs $350-$475, which is a real part of the landed cost and one reason identical cars fetch different bids depending on where they sit. Rates are indicative market figures rather than quotes, and rise with fuel prices and in winter.
