Question 1

Was $3,050 a good price for this 2017 HYUNDAI SONATA?

Accepted Answer

537 comparable 2017 HYUNDAI SONATA listings sold at auction for a median of $3,450, spanning $3,050 to $4,800. At $3,050 this one went 12% below that median. Auction prices reflect as-is condition, so the gap usually comes down to damage severity, mileage and whether the car runs.

Question 2

What does "ENGINE STARTS" mean on this listing?

Accepted Answer

ENGINE STARTS is the auction's own condition note for this 2017 HYUNDAI SONATA. It is a short status flag applied by the auction, not the result of a mechanical inspection. Anything beyond that has to come from the photos and a physical inspection.

Question 3

Is 94,279 miles high for a 2017 HYUNDAI SONATA?

Accepted Answer

Comparable 2017 HYUNDAI SONATA listings at auction averaged 82,972 miles across 537 sales, so at 94,279 miles this one sits 14% above that. At salvage auctions mileage moves the price far less than damage does — a low-mileage car with structural damage will still sell under a higher-mileage clean one.

Question 4

Who sold this 2017 HYUNDAI SONATA?

Accepted Answer

The listing seller was WAWANESA GENERAL INSURANCE COMPANY. Seller type is a useful signal: insurers typically consign total-loss vehicles, rental and fleet operators consign on a cycle regardless of damage, and dealers consign trade-ins they do not want to retail. Each implies a different history behind the same damage label.

Question 5

Did this 2017 HYUNDAI SONATA come with keys?

Accepted Answer

Yes — this lot was listed with keys present, which usually means the vehicle could at least be started or moved at the yard. Combined with right rear damage, that tells you more about its condition than the damage label alone.

Question 6

Can I buy this 2017 HYUNDAI SONATA from AutoBidCar?

Accepted Answer

No. AutoBidCar is an archive of past auction listings, not a seller — we have never owned this vehicle. This 2017 HYUNDAI SONATA was listed at IAAI as lot 44169931 and any sale happened there. We publish the record so buyers can research what comparable vehicles actually sold for.
