Question 1

What do rear end 2020 HYUNDAI SONATA models sell for?

Accepted Answer

Across 362 recorded sales of the 2020 HYUNDAI SONATA with rear end damage, the median was $4,650, from $3,500 to $7,400. That is 1% above the $4,600 median for the model across every damage type, over the last 36 months. Estimates from past sales, not a valuation.

Question 2

Was $6,800 a good price for this 2020 HYUNDAI SONATA?

Accepted Answer

2088 comparable 2020 HYUNDAI SONATA listings sold at auction for a median of $4,600, spanning $3,300 to $7,200. At $6,800 this one went 48% above that median. Auction prices reflect as-is condition, so the gap usually comes down to damage severity, mileage and whether the car runs.

Question 3

How much below its undamaged value did this HYUNDAI SONATA sell for?

Accepted Answer

The insurer put this 2020 HYUNDAI SONATA's pre-damage retail value at $13,292. It sold for $6,800 — 49% below that. A gap this size is normal for auction vehicles: the buyer takes on the repair cost, the paperwork and the risk that damage is worse than the photos show.

Question 4

What does "RUN AND DRIVES" mean on this listing?

Accepted Answer

RUN AND DRIVES is the auction's own condition note for this 2020 HYUNDAI SONATA. It means the vehicle started and moved under its own power during a brief check at the yard. It is not a mechanical inspection and says nothing about how far it would drive. Anything beyond that has to come from the photos and a physical inspection.

Question 5

Is 90,494 miles high for a 2020 HYUNDAI SONATA?

Accepted Answer

Comparable 2020 HYUNDAI SONATA listings at auction averaged 73,965 miles across 2088 sales, so at 90,494 miles this one sits 22% above that. At salvage auctions mileage moves the price far less than damage does — a low-mileage car with structural damage will still sell under a higher-mileage clean one.

Question 6

How far is this HYUNDAI SONATA from an export port?

Accepted Answer

The lot sat at COPART in AL - MONTGOMERY. The nearest major vehicle export port is New Orleans, roughly 350 miles away. Moving a car that distance on an open carrier typically runs $300-$425, which is a real part of the landed cost and one reason identical cars fetch different bids depending on where they sit. Rates are indicative market figures rather than quotes, and rise with fuel prices and in winter.
