Question 1

What do front end 2018 HYUNDAI SANTA FE models sell for?

Accepted Answer

Across 703 recorded sales of the 2018 HYUNDAI SANTA FE with front end damage, the median was $3,700, from $3,100 to $5,050. That is 4% below the $3,850 median for the model across every damage type, over the last 36 months. Estimates from past sales, not a valuation.

Question 2

Was $4,500 a good price for this 2018 HYUNDAI SANTA FE?

Accepted Answer

1822 comparable 2018 HYUNDAI SANTA FE listings sold at auction for a median of $3,850, spanning $3,100 to $5,400. At $4,500 this one went 17% above that median. Auction prices reflect as-is condition, so the gap usually comes down to damage severity, mileage and whether the car runs.

Question 3

How much below its undamaged value did this HYUNDAI SANTA FE sell for?

Accepted Answer

The insurer put this 2018 HYUNDAI SANTA FE's pre-damage retail value at $12,300. It sold for $4,500 — 63% below that. A gap this size is normal for auction vehicles: the buyer takes on the repair cost, the paperwork and the risk that damage is worse than the photos show.

Question 4

What does a clean title mean for this HYUNDAI SANTA FE?

Accepted Answer

This 2018 HYUNDAI SANTA FE was sold on a clean title. A clean title means no total-loss brand was recorded at the point of sale, which is unusual at salvage auctions and typically lifts the price.

Question 5

This HYUNDAI SANTA FE has front end and mechanical damage — how does that affect it?

Accepted Answer

Damage recorded in two areas usually points to a heavier impact than either label suggests on its own, and it raises the odds of structural damage behind the panels. The auction records the primary and secondary areas only; it does not assess the frame. Photographs and, where available, a physical inspection are the only way to judge how far it goes.

Question 6

Is 153,314 miles high for a 2018 HYUNDAI SANTA FE?

Accepted Answer

Comparable 2018 HYUNDAI SANTA FE listings at auction averaged 97,269 miles across 1822 sales, so at 153,314 miles this one sits 58% above that. At salvage auctions mileage moves the price far less than damage does — a low-mileage car with structural damage will still sell under a higher-mileage clean one.
