Question 1

What do hail 2017 HYUNDAI SANTA FE models sell for?

Accepted Answer

Across 92 recorded sales of the 2017 HYUNDAI SANTA FE with hail damage, the median was $4,300, from $3,100 to $5,900. That is 15% above the $3,750 median for the model across every damage type, over the last 36 months. Estimates from past sales, not a valuation.

Question 2

Was $3,250 a good price for this 2017 HYUNDAI SANTA FE?

Accepted Answer

2656 comparable 2017 HYUNDAI SANTA FE listings sold at auction for a median of $3,750, spanning $3,100 to $5,350. At $3,250 this one went 13% below that median. Auction prices reflect as-is condition, so the gap usually comes down to damage severity, mileage and whether the car runs.

Question 3

What does a clean title mean for this HYUNDAI SANTA FE?

Accepted Answer

This 2017 HYUNDAI SANTA FE was sold on a clean title. A clean title means no total-loss brand was recorded at the point of sale, which is unusual at salvage auctions and typically lifts the price.

Question 4

What does "RUN AND DRIVES" mean on this listing?

Accepted Answer

RUN AND DRIVES is the auction's own condition note for this 2017 HYUNDAI SANTA FE. It means the vehicle started and moved under its own power during a brief check at the yard. It is not a mechanical inspection and says nothing about how far it would drive. Anything beyond that has to come from the photos and a physical inspection.

Question 5

Is 202,407 miles high for a 2017 HYUNDAI SANTA FE?

Accepted Answer

Comparable 2017 HYUNDAI SANTA FE listings at auction averaged 105,342 miles across 2656 sales, so at 202,407 miles this one sits 92% above that. At salvage auctions mileage moves the price far less than damage does — a low-mileage car with structural damage will still sell under a higher-mileage clean one.

Question 6

This HYUNDAI SANTA FE has hail and minor dent/scratches damage — how does that affect it?

Accepted Answer

Damage recorded in two areas usually points to a heavier impact than either label suggests on its own, and it raises the odds of structural damage behind the panels. The auction records the primary and secondary areas only; it does not assess the frame. Photographs and, where available, a physical inspection are the only way to judge how far it goes.
