Question 1

What do vandalism 2017 HYUNDAI SANTA FE models sell for?

Accepted Answer

Across 33 recorded sales of the 2017 HYUNDAI SANTA FE with vandalism damage, the median was $3,625, from $3,000 to $4,800. That is 3% below the $3,750 median for the model across every damage type, over the last 36 months. Estimates from past sales, not a valuation.

Question 2

Was $3,950 a good price for this 2017 HYUNDAI SANTA FE?

Accepted Answer

2654 comparable 2017 HYUNDAI SANTA FE listings sold at auction for a median of $3,750, spanning $3,100 to $5,350. At $3,950 this one went 5% above that median. Auction prices reflect as-is condition, so the gap usually comes down to damage severity, mileage and whether the car runs.

Question 3

This HYUNDAI SANTA FE sold without keys — does that matter?

Accepted Answer

Yes, usually. A missing key means the vehicle often cannot be started or moved under its own power at the yard, so its condition is harder to verify and buyers bid more cautiously. Replacing a modern key and reprogramming it to the immobiliser typically runs into the hundreds. It is one of the more common reasons an otherwise sound car sells below its comparables.

Question 4

How much below its undamaged value did this HYUNDAI SANTA FE sell for?

Accepted Answer

The insurer put this 2017 HYUNDAI SANTA FE's pre-damage retail value at $14,344. It sold for $3,950 — 72% below that. A gap this size is normal for auction vehicles: the buyer takes on the repair cost, the paperwork and the risk that damage is worse than the photos show.

Question 5

How far is this HYUNDAI SANTA FE from an export port?

Accepted Answer

The lot sat at COPART in MN - BLAINE. The nearest major vehicle export port is Baltimore, roughly 1,100 miles away. Moving a car that distance on an open carrier typically runs $725-$1,050, which is a real part of the landed cost and one reason identical cars fetch different bids depending on where they sit. Rates are indicative market figures rather than quotes, and rise with fuel prices and in winter.

Question 6

What does a clean title mean for this HYUNDAI SANTA FE?

Accepted Answer

This 2017 HYUNDAI SANTA FE was sold on a clean title. A clean title means no total-loss brand was recorded at the point of sale, which is unusual at salvage auctions and typically lifts the price.
