Question 1

What do rear end 2017 HYUNDAI SANTA FE models sell for?

Accepted Answer

Across 313 recorded sales of the 2017 HYUNDAI SANTA FE with rear end damage, the median was $3,800, from $3,050 to $5,400. That is 1% above the $3,750 median for the model across every damage type, over the last 36 months. Estimates from past sales, not a valuation.

Question 2

Was $4,050 a good price for this 2017 HYUNDAI SANTA FE?

Accepted Answer

2798 comparable 2017 HYUNDAI SANTA FE listings sold at auction for a median of $3,750, spanning $3,100 to $5,300. At $4,050 this one went 8% above that median. Auction prices reflect as-is condition, so the gap usually comes down to damage severity, mileage and whether the car runs.

Question 3

How much below its undamaged value did this HYUNDAI SANTA FE sell for?

Accepted Answer

The insurer put this 2017 HYUNDAI SANTA FE's pre-damage retail value at $13,955. It sold for $4,050 — 71% below that. A gap this size is normal for auction vehicles: the buyer takes on the repair cost, the paperwork and the risk that damage is worse than the photos show.

Question 4

What does a salvage title mean for this HYUNDAI SANTA FE?

Accepted Answer

This 2017 HYUNDAI SANTA FE was sold on a salvage title. A salvage title means an insurer declared the vehicle a total loss. Repairing it and passing a state inspection can convert it to a rebuilt title, which stays on the record permanently and affects resale value.

Question 5

How far is this HYUNDAI SANTA FE from an export port?

Accepted Answer

The lot sat at COPART in AL - TANNER. The nearest major vehicle export port is New Orleans, roughly 350 miles away. Moving a car that distance on an open carrier typically runs $300-$425, which is a real part of the landed cost and one reason identical cars fetch different bids depending on where they sit. Rates are indicative market figures rather than quotes, and rise with fuel prices and in winter.

Question 6

Is 105,048 miles high for a 2017 HYUNDAI SANTA FE?

Accepted Answer

Comparable 2017 HYUNDAI SANTA FE listings at auction averaged 105,665 miles across 2798 sales, so at 105,048 miles this one sits 1% below that. At salvage auctions mileage moves the price far less than damage does — a low-mileage car with structural damage will still sell under a higher-mileage clean one.
