Question 1

This HYUNDAI SANTA FE sold without keys — does that matter?

Accepted Answer

Yes, usually. A missing key means the vehicle often cannot be started or moved under its own power at the yard, so its condition is harder to verify and buyers bid more cautiously. Replacing a modern key and reprogramming it to the immobiliser typically runs into the hundreds. It is one of the more common reasons an otherwise sound car sells below its comparables.

Question 2

What does a clean title mean for this HYUNDAI SANTA FE?

Accepted Answer

This 2016 HYUNDAI SANTA FE was sold on a clean title. A clean title means no total-loss brand was recorded at the point of sale, which is unusual at salvage auctions and typically lifts the price.

Question 3

This HYUNDAI SANTA FE has burn and minor dent/scratches damage — how does that affect it?

Accepted Answer

Damage recorded in two areas usually points to a heavier impact than either label suggests on its own, and it raises the odds of structural damage behind the panels. The auction records the primary and secondary areas only; it does not assess the frame. Photographs and, where available, a physical inspection are the only way to judge how far it goes.

Question 4

Is 222,334 miles high for a 2016 HYUNDAI SANTA FE?

Accepted Answer

Comparable 2016 HYUNDAI SANTA FE listings at auction averaged 113,080 miles across 465 sales, so at 222,334 miles this one sits 97% above that. At salvage auctions mileage moves the price far less than damage does — a low-mileage car with structural damage will still sell under a higher-mileage clean one.

Question 5

Where was this HYUNDAI SANTA FE located?

Accepted Answer

The lot was held at COPART in ON - COOKSTOWN. Location sets the inland transport cost to a port or a repair shop, and state title rules differ, so two otherwise identical cars can be worth noticeably different amounts.

Question 6

Can I buy this 2016 HYUNDAI SANTA FE from AutoBidCar?

Accepted Answer

No. AutoBidCar is an archive of past auction listings, not a seller — we have never owned this vehicle. This 2016 HYUNDAI SANTA FE was listed at COPART as lot 91317575 and any sale happened there. We publish the record so buyers can research what comparable vehicles actually sold for.
