Question 1

What do minor dent/scratches 2017 HYUNDAI SANTA FE models sell for?

Accepted Answer

Across 180 recorded sales of the 2017 HYUNDAI SANTA FE with minor dent/scratches damage, the median was $4,050, from $3,150 to $5,500. That is 8% above the $3,750 median for the model across every damage type, over the last 36 months. Estimates from past sales, not a valuation.

Question 2

What does "RUN AND DRIVES" mean on this listing?

Accepted Answer

RUN AND DRIVES is the auction's own condition note for this 2017 HYUNDAI SANTA FE. It means the vehicle started and moved under its own power during a brief check at the yard. It is not a mechanical inspection and says nothing about how far it would drive. Anything beyond that has to come from the photos and a physical inspection.

Question 3

This HYUNDAI SANTA FE has minor dent/scratches and normal wear damage — how does that affect it?

Accepted Answer

Damage recorded in two areas usually points to a heavier impact than either label suggests on its own, and it raises the odds of structural damage behind the panels. The auction records the primary and secondary areas only; it does not assess the frame. Photographs and, where available, a physical inspection are the only way to judge how far it goes.

Question 4

Is 197,845 miles high for a 2017 HYUNDAI SANTA FE?

Accepted Answer

Comparable 2017 HYUNDAI SANTA FE listings at auction averaged 105,342 miles across 2656 sales, so at 197,845 miles this one sits 88% above that. At salvage auctions mileage moves the price far less than damage does — a low-mileage car with structural damage will still sell under a higher-mileage clean one.

Question 5

Where was this HYUNDAI SANTA FE located?

Accepted Answer

The lot was held at COPART in ON - BOWMANVILLE. Location sets the inland transport cost to a port or a repair shop, and state title rules differ, so two otherwise identical cars can be worth noticeably different amounts.

Question 6

What can I find out from VIN 5XYZU3LB4HG459628?

Accepted Answer

5XYZU3LB4HG459628 identifies this specific 2017 HYUNDAI SANTA FE in beige with a 2.4l 4 engine, front wheel drive. This page covers its auction history only. For ownership, servicing and reported accidents, run the VIN through Carfax, AutoCheck or NMVTIS — those records are separate from ours and we cannot change them.
