Question 1

What do rear 2016 HYUNDAI SANTA FE models sell for?

Accepted Answer

Across 17 recorded sales of the 2016 HYUNDAI SANTA FE with rear damage, the median was $3,750, from $3,325 to $4,800. That is 7% above the $3,500 median for the model across every damage type, over the last 36 months. Estimates from past sales, not a valuation.

Question 2

This HYUNDAI SANTA FE has rear and left & right side damage — how does that affect it?

Accepted Answer

Damage recorded in two areas usually points to a heavier impact than either label suggests on its own, and it raises the odds of structural damage behind the panels. The auction records the primary and secondary areas only; it does not assess the frame. Photographs and, where available, a physical inspection are the only way to judge how far it goes.

Question 3

Is 217,148 miles high for a 2016 HYUNDAI SANTA FE?

Accepted Answer

Comparable 2016 HYUNDAI SANTA FE listings at auction averaged 113,301 miles across 466 sales, so at 217,148 miles this one sits 92% above that. At salvage auctions mileage moves the price far less than damage does — a low-mileage car with structural damage will still sell under a higher-mileage clean one.

Question 4

Did this 2016 HYUNDAI SANTA FE come with keys?

Accepted Answer

Yes — this lot was listed with keys present, which usually means the vehicle could at least be started or moved at the yard. Combined with rear damage, that tells you more about its condition than the damage label alone.

Question 5

Who sold this 2016 HYUNDAI SANTA FE?

Accepted Answer

The listing seller was PROGRESSIVE. Seller type is a useful signal: insurers typically consign total-loss vehicles, rental and fleet operators consign on a cycle regardless of damage, and dealers consign trade-ins they do not want to retail. Each implies a different history behind the same damage label.
