Question 1

Was $13,250 a good price for this 2022 HYUNDAI SANTA FE?

Accepted Answer

2074 comparable 2022 HYUNDAI SANTA FE listings sold at auction for a median of $7,400, spanning $4,200 to $11,750. At $13,250 this one went 79% above that median. Auction prices reflect as-is condition, so the gap usually comes down to damage severity, mileage and whether the car runs.

Question 2

This HYUNDAI SANTA FE sold without keys — does that matter?

Accepted Answer

Yes, usually. A missing key means the vehicle often cannot be started or moved under its own power at the yard, so its condition is harder to verify and buyers bid more cautiously. Replacing a modern key and reprogramming it to the immobiliser typically runs into the hundreds. It is one of the more common reasons an otherwise sound car sells below its comparables.

Question 3

What does a clear mean for this HYUNDAI SANTA FE?

Accepted Answer

This 2022 HYUNDAI SANTA FE was sold on a clear. A clean title means no total-loss brand was recorded at the point of sale, which is unusual at salvage auctions and typically lifts the price.

Question 4

How far is this HYUNDAI SANTA FE from an export port?

Accepted Answer

The lot sat at IAAI in MO - KANSAS CITY. The nearest major vehicle export port is Houston, roughly 780 miles away. Moving a car that distance on an open carrier typically runs $500-$750, which is a real part of the landed cost and one reason identical cars fetch different bids depending on where they sit. Rates are indicative market figures rather than quotes, and rise with fuel prices and in winter.

Question 5

Is 156,344 miles high for a 2022 HYUNDAI SANTA FE?

Accepted Answer

Comparable 2022 HYUNDAI SANTA FE listings at auction averaged 56,849 miles across 2074 sales, so at 156,344 miles this one sits 175% above that. At salvage auctions mileage moves the price far less than damage does — a low-mileage car with structural damage will still sell under a higher-mileage clean one.

Question 6

What can I find out from VIN 5NMS2DAJXNH390405?
