Question 1

Was $7,500 a good price for this 2022 HYUNDAI SANTA FE?

Accepted Answer

2074 comparable 2022 HYUNDAI SANTA FE listings sold at auction for a median of $7,400, spanning $4,200 to $11,750. At $7,500 this one went 1% above that median. Auction prices reflect as-is condition, so the gap usually comes down to damage severity, mileage and whether the car runs.

Question 2

What does a salvage mean for this HYUNDAI SANTA FE?

Accepted Answer

This 2022 HYUNDAI SANTA FE was sold on a salvage. A salvage title means an insurer declared the vehicle a total loss. Repairing it and passing a state inspection can convert it to a rebuilt title, which stays on the record permanently and affects resale value.

Question 3

What does "RUN AND DRIVES" mean on this listing?

Accepted Answer

RUN AND DRIVES is the auction's own condition note for this 2022 HYUNDAI SANTA FE. It means the vehicle started and moved under its own power during a brief check at the yard. It is not a mechanical inspection and says nothing about how far it would drive. Anything beyond that has to come from the photos and a physical inspection.

Question 4

This HYUNDAI SANTA FE has fresh water and unknown damage — how does that affect it?

Accepted Answer

Damage recorded in two areas usually points to a heavier impact than either label suggests on its own, and it raises the odds of structural damage behind the panels. The auction records the primary and secondary areas only; it does not assess the frame. Photographs and, where available, a physical inspection are the only way to judge how far it goes.

Question 5

Who sold this 2022 HYUNDAI SANTA FE?

Accepted Answer

The listing seller was AAA HAWAII. Seller type is a useful signal: insurers typically consign total-loss vehicles, rental and fleet operators consign on a cycle regardless of damage, and dealers consign trade-ins they do not want to retail. Each implies a different history behind the same damage label.

Question 6

Is 30,890 miles high for a 2022 HYUNDAI SANTA FE?

Accepted Answer

Comparable 2022 HYUNDAI SANTA FE listings at auction averaged 56,849 miles across 2074 sales, so at 30,890 miles this one sits 46% below that. At salvage auctions mileage moves the price far less than damage does — a low-mileage car with structural damage will still sell under a higher-mileage clean one.
