Question 1

What do mechanical 2020 HYUNDAI SANTA FE models sell for?

Accepted Answer

Across 35 recorded sales of the 2020 HYUNDAI SANTA FE with mechanical damage, the median was $6,500, from $4,200 to $8,200. That is 20% above the $5,400 median for the model across every damage type, over the last 36 months. Estimates from past sales, not a valuation.

Question 2

Was $5,100 a good price for this 2020 HYUNDAI SANTA FE?

Accepted Answer

3212 comparable 2020 HYUNDAI SANTA FE listings sold at auction for a median of $5,400, spanning $3,600 to $8,000. At $5,100 this one went 6% below that median. Auction prices reflect as-is condition, so the gap usually comes down to damage severity, mileage and whether the car runs.

Question 3

What does a salvage mean for this HYUNDAI SANTA FE?

Accepted Answer

This 2020 HYUNDAI SANTA FE was sold on a salvage. A salvage title means an insurer declared the vehicle a total loss. Repairing it and passing a state inspection can convert it to a rebuilt title, which stays on the record permanently and affects resale value.

Question 4

How far is this HYUNDAI SANTA FE from an export port?

Accepted Answer

The lot sat at IAAI in NC - CASTLE HAYNE. The nearest major vehicle export port is Charleston, roughly 280 miles away. Moving a car that distance on an open carrier typically runs $250-$325, which is a real part of the landed cost and one reason identical cars fetch different bids depending on where they sit. Rates are indicative market figures rather than quotes, and rise with fuel prices and in winter.

Question 5

What does "RUN AND DRIVES" mean on this listing?

Accepted Answer

RUN AND DRIVES is the auction's own condition note for this 2020 HYUNDAI SANTA FE. It means the vehicle started and moved under its own power during a brief check at the yard. It is not a mechanical inspection and says nothing about how far it would drive. Anything beyond that has to come from the photos and a physical inspection.

Question 6

Is 60,240 miles high for a 2020 HYUNDAI SANTA FE?

Accepted Answer

Comparable 2020 HYUNDAI SANTA FE listings at auction averaged 80,892 miles across 3212 sales, so at 60,240 miles this one sits 26% below that. At salvage auctions mileage moves the price far less than damage does — a low-mileage car with structural damage will still sell under a higher-mileage clean one.
