Question 1

What do front end 2017 HYUNDAI SANTA FE models sell for?

Accepted Answer

Across 1000 recorded sales of the 2017 HYUNDAI SANTA FE with front end damage, the median was $3,650, from $3,050 to $4,950. That is 3% below the $3,750 median for the model across every damage type, over the last 36 months. Estimates from past sales, not a valuation.

Question 2

This HYUNDAI SANTA FE has front end and right side damage — how does that affect it?

Accepted Answer

Damage recorded in two areas usually points to a heavier impact than either label suggests on its own, and it raises the odds of structural damage behind the panels. The auction records the primary and secondary areas only; it does not assess the frame. Photographs and, where available, a physical inspection are the only way to judge how far it goes.

Question 3

Is 118,474 miles high for a 2017 HYUNDAI SANTA FE?

Accepted Answer

Comparable 2017 HYUNDAI SANTA FE listings at auction averaged 105,342 miles across 2656 sales, so at 118,474 miles this one sits 12% above that. At salvage auctions mileage moves the price far less than damage does — a low-mileage car with structural damage will still sell under a higher-mileage clean one.

Question 4

Who sold this 2017 HYUNDAI SANTA FE?

Accepted Answer

The listing seller was MERCURY INSURANCE. Seller type is a useful signal: insurers typically consign total-loss vehicles, rental and fleet operators consign on a cycle regardless of damage, and dealers consign trade-ins they do not want to retail. Each implies a different history behind the same damage label.

Question 5

What can I find out from VIN KM8SR4HF3HU195428?

Accepted Answer

KM8SR4HF3HU195428 identifies this specific 2017 HYUNDAI SANTA FE in silver with a 3.3l v-6 di, dohc, vvt, regular , 290hp engine, front wheel drive. This page covers its auction history only. For ownership, servicing and reported accidents, run the VIN through Carfax, AutoCheck or NMVTIS — those records are separate from ours and we cannot change them.

Question 6

Did this 2017 HYUNDAI SANTA FE come with keys?

Accepted Answer

Yes — this lot was listed with keys present, which usually means the vehicle could at least be started or moved at the yard. Combined with front end damage, that tells you more about its condition than the damage label alone.
