Question 1

What do minor dent/scratches 2018 HYUNDAI KONA models sell for?

Accepted Answer

Across 14 recorded sales of the 2018 HYUNDAI KONA with minor dent/scratches damage, the median was $4,250, from $3,700 to $5,500. That is 15% above the $3,700 median for the model across every damage type, over the last 36 months. Estimates from past sales, not a valuation.

Question 2

Was $5,300 a good price for this 2018 HYUNDAI KONA?

Accepted Answer

414 comparable 2018 HYUNDAI KONA listings sold at auction for a median of $3,700, spanning $3,100 to $5,000. At $5,300 this one went 43% above that median. Auction prices reflect as-is condition, so the gap usually comes down to damage severity, mileage and whether the car runs.

Question 3

What does a clean title mean for this HYUNDAI KONA?

Accepted Answer

This 2018 HYUNDAI KONA was sold on a clean title. A clean title means no total-loss brand was recorded at the point of sale, which is unusual at salvage auctions and typically lifts the price.

Question 4

How far is this HYUNDAI KONA from an export port?

Accepted Answer

The lot sat at COPART in PA - GRANTVILLE. The nearest major vehicle export port is Newark, roughly 150 miles away. Moving a car that distance on an open carrier typically runs $200-$300, which is a real part of the landed cost and one reason identical cars fetch different bids depending on where they sit. Rates are indicative market figures rather than quotes, and rise with fuel prices and in winter.

Question 5

What does "RUN AND DRIVES" mean on this listing?

Accepted Answer

RUN AND DRIVES is the auction's own condition note for this 2018 HYUNDAI KONA. It means the vehicle started and moved under its own power during a brief check at the yard. It is not a mechanical inspection and says nothing about how far it would drive. Anything beyond that has to come from the photos and a physical inspection.

Question 6

Is 85,205 miles high for a 2018 HYUNDAI KONA?

Accepted Answer

Comparable 2018 HYUNDAI KONA listings at auction averaged 77,880 miles across 414 sales, so at 85,205 miles this one sits 9% above that. At salvage auctions mileage moves the price far less than damage does — a low-mileage car with structural damage will still sell under a higher-mileage clean one.
