Question 1

What does a on-salvage-ontario mean for this HYUNDAI KONA?

Accepted Answer

This 2019 HYUNDAI KONA was sold on a on-salvage-ontario. A salvage title means an insurer declared the vehicle a total loss. Repairing it and passing a state inspection can convert it to a rebuilt title, which stays on the record permanently and affects resale value.

Question 2

What does "NOT RUN" mean on this listing?

Accepted Answer

NOT RUN is the auction's own condition note for this 2019 HYUNDAI KONA. It means the vehicle started and moved under its own power during a brief check at the yard. It is not a mechanical inspection and says nothing about how far it would drive. Anything beyond that has to come from the photos and a physical inspection.

Question 3

Is 155,343 miles high for a 2019 HYUNDAI KONA?

Accepted Answer

Comparable 2019 HYUNDAI KONA listings at auction averaged 74,302 miles across 864 sales, so at 155,343 miles this one sits 109% above that. At salvage auctions mileage moves the price far less than damage does — a low-mileage car with structural damage will still sell under a higher-mileage clean one.

Question 4

Where was this HYUNDAI KONA located?

Accepted Answer

The lot was held at IAAI in ONTARIO - STOUFFVILLE. Location sets the inland transport cost to a port or a repair shop, and state title rules differ, so two otherwise identical cars can be worth noticeably different amounts.

Question 5

What can I find out from VIN KM8K12AA8KU282551?

Accepted Answer

KM8K12AA8KU282551 identifies this specific 2019 HYUNDAI KONA in white with a 2.0l i-4 dohc, vvt, 147hp engine, front wheel drive. This page covers its auction history only. For ownership, servicing and reported accidents, run the VIN through Carfax, AutoCheck or NMVTIS — those records are separate from ours and we cannot change them.

Question 6

Did this 2019 HYUNDAI KONA come with keys?

Accepted Answer

Yes — this lot was listed with keys present, which usually means the vehicle could at least be started or moved at the yard. Combined with front damage, that tells you more about its condition than the damage label alone.
