Question 1

What do rear 2024 HYUNDAI ELANTRA models sell for?

Accepted Answer

Across 333 recorded sales of the 2024 HYUNDAI ELANTRA with rear damage, the median was $7,000, from $4,550 to $10,300. That is 6% above the $6,600 median for the model across every damage type, over the last 36 months. Estimates from past sales, not a valuation.

Question 2

Was $3,200 a good price for this 2024 HYUNDAI ELANTRA?

Accepted Answer

5300 comparable 2024 HYUNDAI ELANTRA listings sold at auction for a median of $6,600, spanning $4,050 to $9,500. At $3,200 this one went 52% below that median. Auction prices reflect as-is condition, so the gap usually comes down to damage severity, mileage and whether the car runs.

Question 3

This HYUNDAI ELANTRA sold without keys — does that matter?

Accepted Answer

Yes, usually. A missing key means the vehicle often cannot be started or moved under its own power at the yard, so its condition is harder to verify and buyers bid more cautiously. Replacing a modern key and reprogramming it to the immobiliser typically runs into the hundreds. It is one of the more common reasons an otherwise sound car sells below its comparables.

Question 4

How far is this HYUNDAI ELANTRA from an export port?

Accepted Answer

The lot sat at IAAI in WA - PUYALLUP. The nearest major vehicle export port is Tacoma, roughly 60 miles away. Moving a car that distance on an open carrier typically runs $200-$300, which is a real part of the landed cost and one reason identical cars fetch different bids depending on where they sit. Rates are indicative market figures rather than quotes, and rise with fuel prices and in winter.

Question 5

What does "NOT RUN" mean on this listing?

Accepted Answer

NOT RUN is the auction's own condition note for this 2024 HYUNDAI ELANTRA. It means the vehicle started and moved under its own power during a brief check at the yard. It is not a mechanical inspection and says nothing about how far it would drive. Anything beyond that has to come from the photos and a physical inspection.

Question 6

Is 36,425 miles high for a 2024 HYUNDAI ELANTRA?

Accepted Answer

Comparable 2024 HYUNDAI ELANTRA listings at auction averaged 25,969 miles across 5300 sales, so at 36,425 miles this one sits 40% above that. At salvage auctions mileage moves the price far less than damage does — a low-mileage car with structural damage will still sell under a higher-mileage clean one.
