Question 1

What do hail 2020 HYUNDAI ELANTRA models sell for?

Accepted Answer

Across 85 recorded sales of the 2020 HYUNDAI ELANTRA with hail damage, the median was $4,700, from $3,100 to $7,550. That is 25% above the $3,750 median for the model across every damage type, over the last 36 months. Estimates from past sales, not a valuation.

Question 2

Was $6,900 a good price for this 2020 HYUNDAI ELANTRA?

Accepted Answer

3194 comparable 2020 HYUNDAI ELANTRA listings sold at auction for a median of $3,750, spanning $3,100 to $9,900. At $6,900 this one went 84% above that median. Auction prices reflect as-is condition, so the gap usually comes down to damage severity, mileage and whether the car runs.

Question 3

How much below its undamaged value did this HYUNDAI ELANTRA sell for?

Accepted Answer

The insurer put this 2020 HYUNDAI ELANTRA's pre-damage retail value at $16,401. It sold for $6,900 — 58% below that. A gap this size is normal for auction vehicles: the buyer takes on the repair cost, the paperwork and the risk that damage is worse than the photos show.

Question 4

Is 84,893 miles high for a 2020 HYUNDAI ELANTRA?

Accepted Answer

Comparable 2020 HYUNDAI ELANTRA listings at auction averaged 65,017 miles across 3194 sales, so at 84,893 miles this one sits 31% above that. At salvage auctions mileage moves the price far less than damage does — a low-mileage car with structural damage will still sell under a higher-mileage clean one.

Question 5

What does a clean title mean for this HYUNDAI ELANTRA?

Accepted Answer

This 2020 HYUNDAI ELANTRA was sold on a clean title. A clean title means no total-loss brand was recorded at the point of sale, which is unusual at salvage auctions and typically lifts the price.

Question 6

This HYUNDAI ELANTRA has hail and front end damage — how does that affect it?

Accepted Answer

Damage recorded in two areas usually points to a heavier impact than either label suggests on its own, and it raises the odds of structural damage behind the panels. The auction records the primary and secondary areas only; it does not assess the frame. Photographs and, where available, a physical inspection are the only way to judge how far it goes.
