Question 1

What do unknown 2018 HYUNDAI ELANTRA models sell for?

Accepted Answer

Across 12 recorded sales of the 2018 HYUNDAI ELANTRA with unknown damage, the median was $3,300, from $3,100 to $3,800. That is 3% below the $3,400 median for the model across every damage type, over the last 36 months. Estimates from past sales, not a valuation.

Question 2

This HYUNDAI ELANTRA sold without keys — does that matter?

Accepted Answer

Yes, usually. A missing key means the vehicle often cannot be started or moved under its own power at the yard, so its condition is harder to verify and buyers bid more cautiously. Replacing a modern key and reprogramming it to the immobiliser typically runs into the hundreds. It is one of the more common reasons an otherwise sound car sells below its comparables.

Question 3

How far is this HYUNDAI ELANTRA from an export port?

Accepted Answer

The lot sat at COPART in FL - MIAMI. The nearest major vehicle export port is Jacksonville, roughly 200 miles away. Moving a car that distance on an open carrier typically runs $250-$350, which is a real part of the landed cost and one reason identical cars fetch different bids depending on where they sit. Rates are indicative market figures rather than quotes, and rise with fuel prices and in winter.

Question 4

Is 86,935 miles high for a 2018 HYUNDAI ELANTRA?

Accepted Answer

Comparable 2018 HYUNDAI ELANTRA listings at auction averaged 77,439 miles across 1357 sales, so at 86,935 miles this one sits 12% above that. At salvage auctions mileage moves the price far less than damage does — a low-mileage car with structural damage will still sell under a higher-mileage clean one.

Question 5

What does "ENGINE STARTS" mean on this listing?

Accepted Answer

ENGINE STARTS is the auction's own condition note for this 2018 HYUNDAI ELANTRA. It is a short status flag applied by the auction, not the result of a mechanical inspection. Anything beyond that has to come from the photos and a physical inspection.

Question 6

What can I find out from VIN 5NPD84LF4JH256549?

Accepted Answer

5NPD84LF4JH256549 identifies this specific 2018 HYUNDAI ELANTRA in grey with a 2.0l 4 engine, front wheel drive. This page covers its auction history only. For ownership, servicing and reported accidents, run the VIN through Carfax, AutoCheck or NMVTIS — those records are separate from ours and we cannot change them.
