Question 1

Was $3,000 a good price for this 2020 HYUNDAI ELANTRA?

Accepted Answer

3236 comparable 2020 HYUNDAI ELANTRA listings sold at auction for a median of $3,750, spanning $3,100 to $10,200. At $3,000 this one went 20% below that median. Auction prices reflect as-is condition, so the gap usually comes down to damage severity, mileage and whether the car runs.

Question 2

How much below its undamaged value did this HYUNDAI ELANTRA sell for?

Accepted Answer

The insurer put this 2020 HYUNDAI ELANTRA's pre-damage retail value at $14,797. It sold for $3,000 — 80% below that. A gap this size is normal for auction vehicles: the buyer takes on the repair cost, the paperwork and the risk that damage is worse than the photos show.

Question 3

What does a non-repairable mean for this HYUNDAI ELANTRA?

Accepted Answer

This 2020 HYUNDAI ELANTRA was sold on a non-repairable. That is the most restrictive category: in most US states the vehicle cannot be retitled for road use and is intended for parts or export only. Import rules vary by country, so check locally before bidding.

Question 4

How far is this HYUNDAI ELANTRA from an export port?

Accepted Answer

The lot sat at COPART in TN - LEBANON. The nearest major vehicle export port is Savannah, roughly 400 miles away. Moving a car that distance on an open carrier typically runs $350-$475, which is a real part of the landed cost and one reason identical cars fetch different bids depending on where they sit. Rates are indicative market figures rather than quotes, and rise with fuel prices and in winter.

Question 5

Is 40,153 miles high for a 2020 HYUNDAI ELANTRA?

Accepted Answer

Comparable 2020 HYUNDAI ELANTRA listings at auction averaged 64,715 miles across 3236 sales, so at 40,153 miles this one sits 38% below that. At salvage auctions mileage moves the price far less than damage does — a low-mileage car with structural damage will still sell under a higher-mileage clean one.

Question 6

Who sold this 2020 HYUNDAI ELANTRA?

Accepted Answer

The listing seller was PROGRESSIVE. Seller type is a useful signal: insurers typically consign total-loss vehicles, rental and fleet operators consign on a cycle regardless of damage, and dealers consign trade-ins they do not want to retail. Each implies a different history behind the same damage label.
