Question 1

Was $3,050 a good price for this 2017 HYUNDAI ELANTRA?

Accepted Answer

1005 comparable 2017 HYUNDAI ELANTRA listings sold at auction for a median of $3,350, spanning $3,050 to $4,400. At $3,050 this one went 9% below that median. Auction prices reflect as-is condition, so the gap usually comes down to damage severity, mileage and whether the car runs.

Question 2

What does a salvage-ga mean for this HYUNDAI ELANTRA?

Accepted Answer

This 2017 HYUNDAI ELANTRA was sold on a salvage-ga. A salvage title means an insurer declared the vehicle a total loss. Repairing it and passing a state inspection can convert it to a rebuilt title, which stays on the record permanently and affects resale value.

Question 3

How far is this HYUNDAI ELANTRA from an export port?

Accepted Answer

The lot sat at IAAI in GA - ACWORTH. The nearest major vehicle export port is Savannah, roughly 250 miles away. Moving a car that distance on an open carrier typically runs $300-$450, which is a real part of the landed cost and one reason identical cars fetch different bids depending on where they sit. Rates are indicative market figures rather than quotes, and rise with fuel prices and in winter.

Question 4

What does "RUN AND DRIVES" mean on this listing?

Accepted Answer

RUN AND DRIVES is the auction's own condition note for this 2017 HYUNDAI ELANTRA. It means the vehicle started and moved under its own power during a brief check at the yard. It is not a mechanical inspection and says nothing about how far it would drive. Anything beyond that has to come from the photos and a physical inspection.

Question 5

Is 129,964 miles high for a 2017 HYUNDAI ELANTRA?

Accepted Answer

Comparable 2017 HYUNDAI ELANTRA listings at auction averaged 80,961 miles across 1005 sales, so at 129,964 miles this one sits 61% above that. At salvage auctions mileage moves the price far less than damage does — a low-mileage car with structural damage will still sell under a higher-mileage clean one.

Question 6

Did this 2017 HYUNDAI ELANTRA come with keys?

Accepted Answer

Yes — this lot was listed with keys present, which usually means the vehicle could at least be started or moved at the yard. Combined with right rear damage, that tells you more about its condition than the damage label alone.
