Question 1

What do rear 2022 HYUNDAI ELANTRA models sell for?

Accepted Answer

Across 213 recorded sales of the 2022 HYUNDAI ELANTRA with rear damage, the median was $4,700, from $3,400 to $6,600. That is 6% above the $4,450 median for the model across every damage type, over the last 36 months. Estimates from past sales, not a valuation.

Question 2

Was $6,600 a good price for this 2022 HYUNDAI ELANTRA?

Accepted Answer

2919 comparable 2022 HYUNDAI ELANTRA listings sold at auction for a median of $4,450, spanning $3,300 to $6,600. At $6,600 this one went 48% above that median. Auction prices reflect as-is condition, so the gap usually comes down to damage severity, mileage and whether the car runs.

Question 3

What does a salvage mean for this HYUNDAI ELANTRA?

Accepted Answer

This 2022 HYUNDAI ELANTRA was sold on a salvage. A salvage title means an insurer declared the vehicle a total loss. Repairing it and passing a state inspection can convert it to a rebuilt title, which stays on the record permanently and affects resale value.

Question 4

How far is this HYUNDAI ELANTRA from an export port?

Accepted Answer

The lot sat at IAAI in NY - MONTICELLO. The nearest major vehicle export port is Newark, roughly 160 miles away. Moving a car that distance on an open carrier typically runs $200-$300, which is a real part of the landed cost and one reason identical cars fetch different bids depending on where they sit. Rates are indicative market figures rather than quotes, and rise with fuel prices and in winter.

Question 5

This HYUNDAI ELANTRA has rear and unknown damage — how does that affect it?

Accepted Answer

Damage recorded in two areas usually points to a heavier impact than either label suggests on its own, and it raises the odds of structural damage behind the panels. The auction records the primary and secondary areas only; it does not assess the frame. Photographs and, where available, a physical inspection are the only way to judge how far it goes.

Question 6

Is 31,981 miles high for a 2022 HYUNDAI ELANTRA?

Accepted Answer

Comparable 2022 HYUNDAI ELANTRA listings at auction averaged 57,415 miles across 2919 sales, so at 31,981 miles this one sits 44% below that. At salvage auctions mileage moves the price far less than damage does — a low-mileage car with structural damage will still sell under a higher-mileage clean one.
