Question 1

This HYUNDAI ELANTRA sold without keys — does that matter?

Accepted Answer

Yes, usually. A missing key means the vehicle often cannot be started or moved under its own power at the yard, so its condition is harder to verify and buyers bid more cautiously. Replacing a modern key and reprogramming it to the immobiliser typically runs into the hundreds. It is one of the more common reasons an otherwise sound car sells below its comparables.

Question 2

What does a mb-salvageable-manitoba mean for this HYUNDAI ELANTRA?

Accepted Answer

This 2017 HYUNDAI ELANTRA was sold on a mb-salvageable-manitoba. A salvage title means an insurer declared the vehicle a total loss. Repairing it and passing a state inspection can convert it to a rebuilt title, which stays on the record permanently and affects resale value.

Question 3

Is 140,291 miles high for a 2017 HYUNDAI ELANTRA?

Accepted Answer

Comparable 2017 HYUNDAI ELANTRA listings at auction averaged 80,960 miles across 1008 sales, so at 140,291 miles this one sits 73% above that. At salvage auctions mileage moves the price far less than damage does — a low-mileage car with structural damage will still sell under a higher-mileage clean one.

Question 4

Where was this HYUNDAI ELANTRA located?

Accepted Answer

The lot was held at IAAI in MANITOBA - NIVERVILLE. Location sets the inland transport cost to a port or a repair shop, and state title rules differ, so two otherwise identical cars can be worth noticeably different amounts.

Question 5

What can I find out from VIN KMHD84LF8HU157289?

Accepted Answer

KMHD84LF8HU157289 identifies this specific 2017 HYUNDAI ELANTRA in black with a 2.0l i4 fi dohc 16v nf4 engine, front wheel drive. This page covers its auction history only. For ownership, servicing and reported accidents, run the VIN through Carfax, AutoCheck or NMVTIS — those records are separate from ours and we cannot change them.

Question 6

Can I buy this 2017 HYUNDAI ELANTRA from AutoBidCar?

Accepted Answer

No. AutoBidCar is an archive of past auction listings, not a seller — we have never owned this vehicle. This 2017 HYUNDAI ELANTRA was listed at IAAI as lot 20275878 and any sale happened there. We publish the record so buyers can research what comparable vehicles actually sold for.
