Question 1

What do rear end 2017 HONDA RIDGELINE models sell for?

Accepted Answer

Across 63 recorded sales of the 2017 HONDA RIDGELINE with rear end damage, the median was $6,550, from $4,150 to $9,000. That is 15% above the $5,675 median for the model across every damage type, over the last 36 months. Estimates from past sales, not a valuation.

Question 2

Was $7,700 a good price for this 2017 HONDA RIDGELINE?

Accepted Answer

687 comparable 2017 HONDA RIDGELINE listings sold at auction for a median of $5,675, spanning $3,650 to $8,600. At $7,700 this one went 36% above that median. Auction prices reflect as-is condition, so the gap usually comes down to damage severity, mileage and whether the car runs.

Question 3

How much below its undamaged value did this HONDA RIDGELINE sell for?

Accepted Answer

The insurer put this 2017 HONDA RIDGELINE's pre-damage retail value at $16,874. It sold for $7,700 — 54% below that. A gap this size is normal for auction vehicles: the buyer takes on the repair cost, the paperwork and the risk that damage is worse than the photos show.

Question 4

What does "RUN AND DRIVES" mean on this listing?

Accepted Answer

RUN AND DRIVES is the auction's own condition note for this 2017 HONDA RIDGELINE. It means the vehicle started and moved under its own power during a brief check at the yard. It is not a mechanical inspection and says nothing about how far it would drive. Anything beyond that has to come from the photos and a physical inspection.

Question 5

What does a salvage title mean for this HONDA RIDGELINE?

Accepted Answer

This 2017 HONDA RIDGELINE was sold on a salvage title. A salvage title means an insurer declared the vehicle a total loss. Repairing it and passing a state inspection can convert it to a rebuilt title, which stays on the record permanently and affects resale value.

Question 6

Is 131,324 miles high for a 2017 HONDA RIDGELINE?

Accepted Answer

Comparable 2017 HONDA RIDGELINE listings at auction averaged 112,783 miles across 687 sales, so at 131,324 miles this one sits 16% above that. At salvage auctions mileage moves the price far less than damage does — a low-mileage car with structural damage will still sell under a higher-mileage clean one.
