Question 1

What do top/roof 2019 HONDA PILOT models sell for?

Accepted Answer

Across 12 recorded sales of the 2019 HONDA PILOT with top/roof damage, the median was $6,400, from $4,750 to $7,900. That is 8% above the $5,900 median for the model across every damage type, over the last 36 months. Estimates from past sales, not a valuation.

Question 2

Was $7,600 a good price for this 2019 HONDA PILOT?

Accepted Answer

2053 comparable 2019 HONDA PILOT listings sold at auction for a median of $5,900, spanning $3,650 to $9,500. At $7,600 this one went 29% above that median. Auction prices reflect as-is condition, so the gap usually comes down to damage severity, mileage and whether the car runs.

Question 3

How much below its undamaged value did this HONDA PILOT sell for?

Accepted Answer

The insurer put this 2019 HONDA PILOT's pre-damage retail value at $28,497. It sold for $7,600 — 73% below that. A gap this size is normal for auction vehicles: the buyer takes on the repair cost, the paperwork and the risk that damage is worse than the photos show.

Question 4

What does "ENGINE STARTS" mean on this listing?

Accepted Answer

ENGINE STARTS is the auction's own condition note for this 2019 HONDA PILOT. It is a short status flag applied by the auction, not the result of a mechanical inspection. Anything beyond that has to come from the photos and a physical inspection.

Question 5

This HONDA PILOT has top/roof and front end damage — how does that affect it?

Accepted Answer

Damage recorded in two areas usually points to a heavier impact than either label suggests on its own, and it raises the odds of structural damage behind the panels. The auction records the primary and secondary areas only; it does not assess the frame. Photographs and, where available, a physical inspection are the only way to judge how far it goes.

Question 6

Is 38,872 miles high for a 2019 HONDA PILOT?

Accepted Answer

Comparable 2019 HONDA PILOT listings at auction averaged 93,634 miles across 2053 sales, so at 38,872 miles this one sits 58% below that. At salvage auctions mileage moves the price far less than damage does — a low-mileage car with structural damage will still sell under a higher-mileage clean one.
