Question 1

What do rear end 2018 HONDA PILOT models sell for?

Accepted Answer

Across 115 recorded sales of the 2018 HONDA PILOT with rear end damage, the median was $5,700, from $3,500 to $8,700. That is 10% above the $5,200 median for the model across every damage type, over the last 36 months. Estimates from past sales, not a valuation.

Question 2

Was $6,100 a good price for this 2018 HONDA PILOT?

Accepted Answer

1495 comparable 2018 HONDA PILOT listings sold at auction for a median of $5,200, spanning $3,400 to $8,300. At $6,100 this one went 17% above that median. Auction prices reflect as-is condition, so the gap usually comes down to damage severity, mileage and whether the car runs.

Question 3

How much below its undamaged value did this HONDA PILOT sell for?

Accepted Answer

The insurer put this 2018 HONDA PILOT's pre-damage retail value at $13,431. It sold for $6,100 — 55% below that. A gap this size is normal for auction vehicles: the buyer takes on the repair cost, the paperwork and the risk that damage is worse than the photos show.

Question 4

What does "ENGINE STARTS" mean on this listing?

Accepted Answer

ENGINE STARTS is the auction's own condition note for this 2018 HONDA PILOT. It is a short status flag applied by the auction, not the result of a mechanical inspection. Anything beyond that has to come from the photos and a physical inspection.

Question 5

This HONDA PILOT has rear end and stripped damage — how does that affect it?

Accepted Answer

Damage recorded in two areas usually points to a heavier impact than either label suggests on its own, and it raises the odds of structural damage behind the panels. The auction records the primary and secondary areas only; it does not assess the frame. Photographs and, where available, a physical inspection are the only way to judge how far it goes.

Question 6

What does a salvage title mean for this HONDA PILOT?

Accepted Answer

This 2018 HONDA PILOT was sold on a salvage title. A salvage title means an insurer declared the vehicle a total loss. Repairing it and passing a state inspection can convert it to a rebuilt title, which stays on the record permanently and affects resale value.
