Question 1

What do side 2018 HONDA PILOT models sell for?

Accepted Answer

Across 162 recorded sales of the 2018 HONDA PILOT with side damage, the median was $5,200, from $3,400 to $8,300. That is level with the $5,200 median for the model across every damage type, over the last 36 months. Estimates from past sales, not a valuation.

Question 2

Was $3,150 a good price for this 2018 HONDA PILOT?

Accepted Answer

1523 comparable 2018 HONDA PILOT listings sold at auction for a median of $5,200, spanning $3,400 to $8,300. At $3,150 this one went 39% below that median. Auction prices reflect as-is condition, so the gap usually comes down to damage severity, mileage and whether the car runs.

Question 3

How much below its undamaged value did this HONDA PILOT sell for?

Accepted Answer

The insurer put this 2018 HONDA PILOT's pre-damage retail value at $12,746. It sold for $3,150 — 75% below that. A gap this size is normal for auction vehicles: the buyer takes on the repair cost, the paperwork and the risk that damage is worse than the photos show.

Question 4

This HONDA PILOT has side and undercarriage damage — how does that affect it?

Accepted Answer

Damage recorded in two areas usually points to a heavier impact than either label suggests on its own, and it raises the odds of structural damage behind the panels. The auction records the primary and secondary areas only; it does not assess the frame. Photographs and, where available, a physical inspection are the only way to judge how far it goes.

Question 5

What does "ENGINE STARTS" mean on this listing?

Accepted Answer

ENGINE STARTS is the auction's own condition note for this 2018 HONDA PILOT. It is a short status flag applied by the auction, not the result of a mechanical inspection. Anything beyond that has to come from the photos and a physical inspection.

Question 6

Is 131,054 miles high for a 2018 HONDA PILOT?

Accepted Answer

Comparable 2018 HONDA PILOT listings at auction averaged 102,935 miles across 1523 sales, so at 131,054 miles this one sits 27% above that. At salvage auctions mileage moves the price far less than damage does — a low-mileage car with structural damage will still sell under a higher-mileage clean one.
