Question 1

What do front end 2017 HONDA PILOT models sell for?

Accepted Answer

Across 1153 recorded sales of the 2017 HONDA PILOT with front end damage, the median was $4,600, from $3,300 to $6,700. That is 3% below the $4,750 median for the model across every damage type, over the last 36 months. Estimates from past sales, not a valuation.

Question 2

Was $6,800 a good price for this 2017 HONDA PILOT?

Accepted Answer

2345 comparable 2017 HONDA PILOT listings sold at auction for a median of $4,750, spanning $3,350 to $7,300. At $6,800 this one went 43% above that median. Auction prices reflect as-is condition, so the gap usually comes down to damage severity, mileage and whether the car runs.

Question 3

What does a salvage title mean for this HONDA PILOT?

Accepted Answer

This 2017 HONDA PILOT was sold on a salvage title. A salvage title means an insurer declared the vehicle a total loss. Repairing it and passing a state inspection can convert it to a rebuilt title, which stays on the record permanently and affects resale value.

Question 4

How far is this HONDA PILOT from an export port?

Accepted Answer

The lot sat at COPART in IA - CEDAR RAPIDS. The nearest major vehicle export port is Houston, roughly 1,000 miles away. Moving a car that distance on an open carrier typically runs $650-$950, which is a real part of the landed cost and one reason identical cars fetch different bids depending on where they sit. Rates are indicative market figures rather than quotes, and rise with fuel prices and in winter.

Question 5

Is 80,707 miles high for a 2017 HONDA PILOT?

Accepted Answer

Comparable 2017 HONDA PILOT listings at auction averaged 118,033 miles across 2345 sales, so at 80,707 miles this one sits 32% below that. At salvage auctions mileage moves the price far less than damage does — a low-mileage car with structural damage will still sell under a higher-mileage clean one.

Question 6

What does "RUN AND DRIVES" mean on this listing?

Accepted Answer

RUN AND DRIVES is the auction's own condition note for this 2017 HONDA PILOT. It means the vehicle started and moved under its own power during a brief check at the yard. It is not a mechanical inspection and says nothing about how far it would drive. Anything beyond that has to come from the photos and a physical inspection.
