Question 1

What do mechanical 2017 HONDA PILOT models sell for?

Accepted Answer

Across 21 recorded sales of the 2017 HONDA PILOT with mechanical damage, the median was $4,600, from $3,400 to $6,950. That is 3% below the $4,750 median for the model across every damage type, over the last 36 months. Estimates from past sales, not a valuation.

Question 2

What does a clean title mean for this HONDA PILOT?

Accepted Answer

This 2017 HONDA PILOT was sold on a clean title. A clean title means no total-loss brand was recorded at the point of sale, which is unusual at salvage auctions and typically lifts the price.

Question 3

How far is this HONDA PILOT from an export port?

Accepted Answer

The lot sat at COPART in OR - EUGENE. The nearest major vehicle export port is Tacoma, roughly 180 miles away. Moving a car that distance on an open carrier typically runs $225-$325, which is a real part of the landed cost and one reason identical cars fetch different bids depending on where they sit. Rates are indicative market figures rather than quotes, and rise with fuel prices and in winter.

Question 4

What does "ENGINE STARTS" mean on this listing?

Accepted Answer

ENGINE STARTS is the auction's own condition note for this 2017 HONDA PILOT. It is a short status flag applied by the auction, not the result of a mechanical inspection. Anything beyond that has to come from the photos and a physical inspection.

Question 5

Is 168,680 miles high for a 2017 HONDA PILOT?

Accepted Answer

Comparable 2017 HONDA PILOT listings at auction averaged 117,975 miles across 2326 sales, so at 168,680 miles this one sits 43% above that. At salvage auctions mileage moves the price far less than damage does — a low-mileage car with structural damage will still sell under a higher-mileage clean one.

Question 6

Did this 2017 HONDA PILOT come with keys?

Accepted Answer

Yes — this lot was listed with keys present, which usually means the vehicle could at least be started or moved at the yard. Combined with mechanical damage, that tells you more about its condition than the damage label alone.
