Question 1

What do front end 2017 HONDA PILOT models sell for?

Accepted Answer

Across 1188 recorded sales of the 2017 HONDA PILOT with front end damage, the median was $4,600, from $3,300 to $6,750. That is 3% below the $4,750 median for the model across every damage type, over the last 36 months. Estimates from past sales, not a valuation.

Question 2

Was $7,400 a good price for this 2017 HONDA PILOT?

Accepted Answer

2443 comparable 2017 HONDA PILOT listings sold at auction for a median of $4,750, spanning $3,350 to $7,300. At $7,400 this one went 56% above that median. Auction prices reflect as-is condition, so the gap usually comes down to damage severity, mileage and whether the car runs.

Question 3

How much below its undamaged value did this HONDA PILOT sell for?

Accepted Answer

The insurer put this 2017 HONDA PILOT's pre-damage retail value at $16,124. It sold for $7,400 — 54% below that. A gap this size is normal for auction vehicles: the buyer takes on the repair cost, the paperwork and the risk that damage is worse than the photos show.

Question 4

What does a clean title mean for this HONDA PILOT?

Accepted Answer

This 2017 HONDA PILOT was sold on a clean title. A clean title means no total-loss brand was recorded at the point of sale, which is unusual at salvage auctions and typically lifts the price.

Question 5

Is 136,112 miles high for a 2017 HONDA PILOT?

Accepted Answer

Comparable 2017 HONDA PILOT listings at auction averaged 118,095 miles across 2443 sales, so at 136,112 miles this one sits 15% above that. At salvage auctions mileage moves the price far less than damage does — a low-mileage car with structural damage will still sell under a higher-mileage clean one.

Question 6

This HONDA PILOT has front end and minor dent/scratches damage — how does that affect it?

Accepted Answer

Damage recorded in two areas usually points to a heavier impact than either label suggests on its own, and it raises the odds of structural damage behind the panels. The auction records the primary and secondary areas only; it does not assess the frame. Photographs and, where available, a physical inspection are the only way to judge how far it goes.
