Question 1

What do mechanical 2016 HONDA PILOT models sell for?

Accepted Answer

Across 51 recorded sales of the 2016 HONDA PILOT with mechanical damage, the median was $4,175, from $3,350 to $6,800. That is 5% below the $4,400 median for the model across every damage type, over the last 36 months. Estimates from past sales, not a valuation.

Question 2

Was $6,800 a good price for this 2016 HONDA PILOT?

Accepted Answer

2791 comparable 2016 HONDA PILOT listings sold at auction for a median of $4,400, spanning $3,250 to $6,650. At $6,800 this one went 55% above that median. Auction prices reflect as-is condition, so the gap usually comes down to damage severity, mileage and whether the car runs.

Question 3

How much below its undamaged value did this HONDA PILOT sell for?

Accepted Answer

The insurer put this 2016 HONDA PILOT's pre-damage retail value at $17,800. It sold for $6,800 — 62% below that. A gap this size is normal for auction vehicles: the buyer takes on the repair cost, the paperwork and the risk that damage is worse than the photos show.

Question 4

What does a clean title mean for this HONDA PILOT?

Accepted Answer

This 2016 HONDA PILOT was sold on a clean title. A clean title means no total-loss brand was recorded at the point of sale, which is unusual at salvage auctions and typically lifts the price.

Question 5

What does "RUN AND DRIVES" mean on this listing?

Accepted Answer

RUN AND DRIVES is the auction's own condition note for this 2016 HONDA PILOT. It means the vehicle started and moved under its own power during a brief check at the yard. It is not a mechanical inspection and says nothing about how far it would drive. Anything beyond that has to come from the photos and a physical inspection.

Question 6

Is 80,985 miles high for a 2016 HONDA PILOT?

Accepted Answer

Comparable 2016 HONDA PILOT listings at auction averaged 128,974 miles across 2791 sales, so at 80,985 miles this one sits 37% below that. At salvage auctions mileage moves the price far less than damage does — a low-mileage car with structural damage will still sell under a higher-mileage clean one.
