Question 1

What do mechanical 2018 HONDA ODYSSEY models sell for?

Accepted Answer

Across 25 recorded sales of the 2018 HONDA ODYSSEY with mechanical damage, the median was $6,050, from $4,150 to $8,200. That is 1% above the $6,000 median for the model across every damage type, over the last 36 months. Estimates from past sales, not a valuation.

Question 2

Was $8,500 a good price for this 2018 HONDA ODYSSEY?

Accepted Answer

2115 comparable 2018 HONDA ODYSSEY listings sold at auction for a median of $6,000, spanning $3,750 to $9,150. At $8,500 this one went 42% above that median. Auction prices reflect as-is condition, so the gap usually comes down to damage severity, mileage and whether the car runs.

Question 3

How much below its undamaged value did this HONDA ODYSSEY sell for?

Accepted Answer

The insurer put this 2018 HONDA ODYSSEY's pre-damage retail value at $20,562. It sold for $8,500 — 59% below that. A gap this size is normal for auction vehicles: the buyer takes on the repair cost, the paperwork and the risk that damage is worse than the photos show.

Question 4

What does a salvage title mean for this HONDA ODYSSEY?

Accepted Answer

This 2018 HONDA ODYSSEY was sold on a salvage title. A salvage title means an insurer declared the vehicle a total loss. Repairing it and passing a state inspection can convert it to a rebuilt title, which stays on the record permanently and affects resale value.

Question 5

How far is this HONDA ODYSSEY from an export port?

Accepted Answer

The lot sat at COPART in PA - ELLWOOD CITY. The nearest major vehicle export port is Newark, roughly 150 miles away. Moving a car that distance on an open carrier typically runs $200-$300, which is a real part of the landed cost and one reason identical cars fetch different bids depending on where they sit. Rates are indicative market figures rather than quotes, and rise with fuel prices and in winter.

Question 6

Did this 2018 HONDA ODYSSEY come with keys?

Accepted Answer

Yes — this lot was listed with keys present, which usually means the vehicle could at least be started or moved at the yard. Combined with mechanical damage, that tells you more about its condition than the damage label alone.
