Question 1

Was $12,500 a good price for this 2020 HONDA ODYSSEY?

Accepted Answer

1203 comparable 2020 HONDA ODYSSEY listings sold at auction for a median of $6,325, spanning $3,800 to $11,200. At $12,500 this one went 98% above that median. Auction prices reflect as-is condition, so the gap usually comes down to damage severity, mileage and whether the car runs.

Question 2

How much below its undamaged value did this HONDA ODYSSEY sell for?

Accepted Answer

The insurer put this 2020 HONDA ODYSSEY's pre-damage retail value at $31,603. It sold for $12,500 — 60% below that. A gap this size is normal for auction vehicles: the buyer takes on the repair cost, the paperwork and the risk that damage is worse than the photos show.

Question 3

How far is this HONDA ODYSSEY from an export port?

Accepted Answer

The lot sat at COPART in IL - CHICAGO SOUTH. The nearest major vehicle export port is Baltimore, roughly 700 miles away. Moving a car that distance on an open carrier typically runs $450-$675, which is a real part of the landed cost and one reason identical cars fetch different bids depending on where they sit. Rates are indicative market figures rather than quotes, and rise with fuel prices and in winter.

Question 4

What does "ENGINE START PROGRAM" mean on this listing?

Accepted Answer

ENGINE START PROGRAM is the auction's own condition note for this 2020 HONDA ODYSSEY. It is a short status flag applied by the auction, not the result of a mechanical inspection. Anything beyond that has to come from the photos and a physical inspection.

Question 5

Is 58,437 miles high for a 2020 HONDA ODYSSEY?

Accepted Answer

Comparable 2020 HONDA ODYSSEY listings at auction averaged 79,899 miles across 1203 sales, so at 58,437 miles this one sits 27% below that. At salvage auctions mileage moves the price far less than damage does — a low-mileage car with structural damage will still sell under a higher-mileage clean one.

Question 6

This HONDA ODYSSEY has rejected repair and minor dent/scratches damage — how does that affect it?

Accepted Answer

Damage recorded in two areas usually points to a heavier impact than either label suggests on its own, and it raises the odds of structural damage behind the panels. The auction records the primary and secondary areas only; it does not assess the frame. Photographs and, where available, a physical inspection are the only way to judge how far it goes.
