Question 1

What do front end 2023 HONDA ODYSSEY models sell for?

Accepted Answer

Across 388 recorded sales of the 2023 HONDA ODYSSEY with front end damage, the median was $10,300, from $5,000 to $15,400. That is 9% below the $11,300 median for the model across every damage type, over the last 36 months. Estimates from past sales, not a valuation.

Question 2

Was $8,700 a good price for this 2023 HONDA ODYSSEY?

Accepted Answer

979 comparable 2023 HONDA ODYSSEY listings sold at auction for a median of $11,300, spanning $5,300 to $16,950. At $8,700 this one went 23% below that median. Auction prices reflect as-is condition, so the gap usually comes down to damage severity, mileage and whether the car runs.

Question 3

How much below its undamaged value did this HONDA ODYSSEY sell for?

Accepted Answer

The insurer put this 2023 HONDA ODYSSEY's pre-damage retail value at $28,915. It sold for $8,700 — 70% below that. A gap this size is normal for auction vehicles: the buyer takes on the repair cost, the paperwork and the risk that damage is worse than the photos show.

Question 4

What does "ENGINE STARTS" mean on this listing?

Accepted Answer

ENGINE STARTS is the auction's own condition note for this 2023 HONDA ODYSSEY. It is a short status flag applied by the auction, not the result of a mechanical inspection. Anything beyond that has to come from the photos and a physical inspection.

Question 5

This HONDA ODYSSEY has front end and undercarriage damage — how does that affect it?

Accepted Answer

Damage recorded in two areas usually points to a heavier impact than either label suggests on its own, and it raises the odds of structural damage behind the panels. The auction records the primary and secondary areas only; it does not assess the frame. Photographs and, where available, a physical inspection are the only way to judge how far it goes.

Question 6

Is 49,765 miles high for a 2023 HONDA ODYSSEY?

Accepted Answer

Comparable 2023 HONDA ODYSSEY listings at auction averaged 40,645 miles across 979 sales, so at 49,765 miles this one sits 22% above that. At salvage auctions mileage moves the price far less than damage does — a low-mileage car with structural damage will still sell under a higher-mileage clean one.
