Question 1

What do side 2022 HONDA HR-V models sell for?

Accepted Answer

Across 266 recorded sales of the 2022 HONDA HR-V with side damage, the median was $5,950, from $4,000 to $8,000. That is 16% above the $5,150 median for the model across every damage type, over the last 36 months. Estimates from past sales, not a valuation.

Question 2

Was $6,800 a good price for this 2022 HONDA HR-V?

Accepted Answer

2930 comparable 2022 HONDA HR-V listings sold at auction for a median of $5,150, spanning $3,550 to $7,600. At $6,800 this one went 32% above that median. Auction prices reflect as-is condition, so the gap usually comes down to damage severity, mileage and whether the car runs.

Question 3

This HONDA HR-V sold without keys — does that matter?

Accepted Answer

Yes, usually. A missing key means the vehicle often cannot be started or moved under its own power at the yard, so its condition is harder to verify and buyers bid more cautiously. Replacing a modern key and reprogramming it to the immobiliser typically runs into the hundreds. It is one of the more common reasons an otherwise sound car sells below its comparables.

Question 4

How much below its undamaged value did this HONDA HR-V sell for?

Accepted Answer

The insurer put this 2022 HONDA HR-V's pre-damage retail value at $19,717. It sold for $6,800 — 66% below that. A gap this size is normal for auction vehicles: the buyer takes on the repair cost, the paperwork and the risk that damage is worse than the photos show.

Question 5

How far is this HONDA HR-V from an export port?

Accepted Answer

The lot sat at COPART in TX - HOUSTON. The nearest major vehicle export port is Houston, roughly 200 miles away. Moving a car that distance on an open carrier typically runs $250-$350, which is a real part of the landed cost and one reason identical cars fetch different bids depending on where they sit. Rates are indicative market figures rather than quotes, and rise with fuel prices and in winter.

Question 6

Is 31,575 miles high for a 2022 HONDA HR-V?

Accepted Answer

Comparable 2022 HONDA HR-V listings at auction averaged 50,958 miles across 2930 sales, so at 31,575 miles this one sits 38% below that. At salvage auctions mileage moves the price far less than damage does — a low-mileage car with structural damage will still sell under a higher-mileage clean one.
