Question 1

What do rear end 2020 HONDA HR-V models sell for?

Accepted Answer

Across 167 recorded sales of the 2020 HONDA HR-V with rear end damage, the median was $5,300, from $3,700 to $7,500. That is 12% above the $4,750 median for the model across every damage type, over the last 36 months. Estimates from past sales, not a valuation.

Question 2

Was $4,500 a good price for this 2020 HONDA HR-V?

Accepted Answer

1485 comparable 2020 HONDA HR-V listings sold at auction for a median of $4,750, spanning $3,500 to $7,000. At $4,500 this one went 5% below that median. Auction prices reflect as-is condition, so the gap usually comes down to damage severity, mileage and whether the car runs.

Question 3

How much below its undamaged value did this HONDA HR-V sell for?

Accepted Answer

The insurer put this 2020 HONDA HR-V's pre-damage retail value at $14,014. It sold for $4,500 — 68% below that. A gap this size is normal for auction vehicles: the buyer takes on the repair cost, the paperwork and the risk that damage is worse than the photos show.

Question 4

What does "RUN AND DRIVES" mean on this listing?

Accepted Answer

RUN AND DRIVES is the auction's own condition note for this 2020 HONDA HR-V. It means the vehicle started and moved under its own power during a brief check at the yard. It is not a mechanical inspection and says nothing about how far it would drive. Anything beyond that has to come from the photos and a physical inspection.

Question 5

What does a salvage title mean for this HONDA HR-V?

Accepted Answer

This 2020 HONDA HR-V was sold on a salvage title. A salvage title means an insurer declared the vehicle a total loss. Repairing it and passing a state inspection can convert it to a rebuilt title, which stays on the record permanently and affects resale value.

Question 6

Is 81,762 miles high for a 2020 HONDA HR-V?

Accepted Answer

Comparable 2020 HONDA HR-V listings at auction averaged 64,805 miles across 1485 sales, so at 81,762 miles this one sits 26% above that. At salvage auctions mileage moves the price far less than damage does — a low-mileage car with structural damage will still sell under a higher-mileage clean one.
