Question 1

What do water/flood 2019 HONDA HR-V models sell for?

Accepted Answer

Across 24 recorded sales of the 2019 HONDA HR-V with water/flood damage, the median was $4,550, from $3,100 to $6,800. That is 2% above the $4,450 median for the model across every damage type, over the last 36 months. Estimates from past sales, not a valuation.

Question 2

Was $3,000 a good price for this 2019 HONDA HR-V?

Accepted Answer

2883 comparable 2019 HONDA HR-V listings sold at auction for a median of $4,450, spanning $3,300 to $6,500. At $3,000 this one went 33% below that median. Auction prices reflect as-is condition, so the gap usually comes down to damage severity, mileage and whether the car runs.

Question 3

How much below its undamaged value did this HONDA HR-V sell for?

Accepted Answer

The insurer put this 2019 HONDA HR-V's pre-damage retail value at $9,885. It sold for $3,000 — 70% below that. A gap this size is normal for auction vehicles: the buyer takes on the repair cost, the paperwork and the risk that damage is worse than the photos show.

Question 4

What does "RUN AND DRIVES" mean on this listing?

Accepted Answer

RUN AND DRIVES is the auction's own condition note for this 2019 HONDA HR-V. It means the vehicle started and moved under its own power during a brief check at the yard. It is not a mechanical inspection and says nothing about how far it would drive. Anything beyond that has to come from the photos and a physical inspection.

Question 5

What does a salvage title mean for this HONDA HR-V?

Accepted Answer

This 2019 HONDA HR-V was sold on a salvage title. A salvage title means an insurer declared the vehicle a total loss. Repairing it and passing a state inspection can convert it to a rebuilt title, which stays on the record permanently and affects resale value.

Question 6

Is 82,568 miles high for a 2019 HONDA HR-V?

Accepted Answer

Comparable 2019 HONDA HR-V listings at auction averaged 73,560 miles across 2883 sales, so at 82,568 miles this one sits 12% above that. At salvage auctions mileage moves the price far less than damage does — a low-mileage car with structural damage will still sell under a higher-mileage clean one.
