Question 1

What do front end 2023 HONDA HR-V models sell for?

Accepted Answer

Across 885 recorded sales of the 2023 HONDA HR-V with front end damage, the median was $6,200, from $3,900 to $8,600. That is 7% below the $6,700 median for the model across every damage type, over the last 36 months. Estimates from past sales, not a valuation.

Question 2

Was $4,500 a good price for this 2023 HONDA HR-V?

Accepted Answer

1925 comparable 2023 HONDA HR-V listings sold at auction for a median of $6,700, spanning $4,050 to $10,000. At $4,500 this one went 33% below that median. Auction prices reflect as-is condition, so the gap usually comes down to damage severity, mileage and whether the car runs.

Question 3

How much below its undamaged value did this HONDA HR-V sell for?

Accepted Answer

The insurer put this 2023 HONDA HR-V's pre-damage retail value at $22,421. It sold for $4,500 — 80% below that. A gap this size is normal for auction vehicles: the buyer takes on the repair cost, the paperwork and the risk that damage is worse than the photos show.

Question 4

What does "RUN AND DRIVES" mean on this listing?

Accepted Answer

RUN AND DRIVES is the auction's own condition note for this 2023 HONDA HR-V. It means the vehicle started and moved under its own power during a brief check at the yard. It is not a mechanical inspection and says nothing about how far it would drive. Anything beyond that has to come from the photos and a physical inspection.

Question 5

This HONDA HR-V has front end and side damage — how does that affect it?

Accepted Answer

Damage recorded in two areas usually points to a heavier impact than either label suggests on its own, and it raises the odds of structural damage behind the panels. The auction records the primary and secondary areas only; it does not assess the frame. Photographs and, where available, a physical inspection are the only way to judge how far it goes.

Question 6

Is 45,924 miles high for a 2023 HONDA HR-V?

Accepted Answer

Comparable 2023 HONDA HR-V listings at auction averaged 39,035 miles across 1925 sales, so at 45,924 miles this one sits 18% above that. At salvage auctions mileage moves the price far less than damage does — a low-mileage car with structural damage will still sell under a higher-mileage clean one.
