Question 1

What do front end 2018 HONDA HR-V models sell for?

Accepted Answer

Across 945 recorded sales of the 2018 HONDA HR-V with front end damage, the median was $4,000, from $3,200 to $5,500. That is 4% below the $4,150 median for the model across every damage type, over the last 36 months. Estimates from past sales, not a valuation.

Question 2

What does a salvage mean for this HONDA HR-V?

Accepted Answer

This 2018 HONDA HR-V was sold on a salvage. A salvage title means an insurer declared the vehicle a total loss. Repairing it and passing a state inspection can convert it to a rebuilt title, which stays on the record permanently and affects resale value.

Question 3

How far is this HONDA HR-V from an export port?

Accepted Answer

The lot sat at IAAI in MI - BELLEVILLE. The nearest major vehicle export port is Baltimore, roughly 550 miles away. Moving a car that distance on an open carrier typically runs $475-$650, which is a real part of the landed cost and one reason identical cars fetch different bids depending on where they sit. Rates are indicative market figures rather than quotes, and rise with fuel prices and in winter.

Question 4

What does "ENGINE STARTS" mean on this listing?

Accepted Answer

ENGINE STARTS is the auction's own condition note for this 2018 HONDA HR-V. It is a short status flag applied by the auction, not the result of a mechanical inspection. Anything beyond that has to come from the photos and a physical inspection.

Question 5

Is 85,285 miles high for a 2018 HONDA HR-V?

Accepted Answer

Comparable 2018 HONDA HR-V listings at auction averaged 87,823 miles across 1872 sales, so at 85,285 miles this one sits 3% below that. At salvage auctions mileage moves the price far less than damage does — a low-mileage car with structural damage will still sell under a higher-mileage clean one.

Question 6

Did this 2018 HONDA HR-V come with keys?

Accepted Answer

Yes — this lot was listed with keys present, which usually means the vehicle could at least be started or moved at the yard. Combined with front end damage, that tells you more about its condition than the damage label alone.
