Question 1

Was $6,900 a good price for this 2017 HONDA HR-V?

Accepted Answer

1622 comparable 2017 HONDA HR-V listings sold at auction for a median of $4,000, spanning $3,150 to $5,550. At $6,900 this one went 73% above that median. Auction prices reflect as-is condition, so the gap usually comes down to damage severity, mileage and whether the car runs.

Question 2

This HONDA HR-V sold without keys — does that matter?

Accepted Answer

Yes, usually. A missing key means the vehicle often cannot be started or moved under its own power at the yard, so its condition is harder to verify and buyers bid more cautiously. Replacing a modern key and reprogramming it to the immobiliser typically runs into the hundreds. It is one of the more common reasons an otherwise sound car sells below its comparables.

Question 3

What does a salvage mean for this HONDA HR-V?

Accepted Answer

This 2017 HONDA HR-V was sold on a salvage. A salvage title means an insurer declared the vehicle a total loss. Repairing it and passing a state inspection can convert it to a rebuilt title, which stays on the record permanently and affects resale value.

Question 4

This HONDA HR-V has theft and left side damage — how does that affect it?

Accepted Answer

Damage recorded in two areas usually points to a heavier impact than either label suggests on its own, and it raises the odds of structural damage behind the panels. The auction records the primary and secondary areas only; it does not assess the frame. Photographs and, where available, a physical inspection are the only way to judge how far it goes.

Question 5

How far is this HONDA HR-V from an export port?

Accepted Answer

The lot sat at IAAI in MD - BRANDYWINE. The nearest major vehicle export port is Baltimore, roughly 40 miles away. Moving a car that distance on an open carrier typically runs $200-$300, which is a real part of the landed cost and one reason identical cars fetch different bids depending on where they sit. Rates are indicative market figures rather than quotes, and rise with fuel prices and in winter.

Question 6

Is 69,146 miles high for a 2017 HONDA HR-V?

Accepted Answer

Comparable 2017 HONDA HR-V listings at auction averaged 96,507 miles across 1622 sales, so at 69,146 miles this one sits 28% below that. At salvage auctions mileage moves the price far less than damage does — a low-mileage car with structural damage will still sell under a higher-mileage clean one.
