Question 1

What do rear end 2022 HONDA HR-V models sell for?

Accepted Answer

Across 265 recorded sales of the 2022 HONDA HR-V with rear end damage, the median was $6,000, from $4,150 to $8,000. That is 17% above the $5,150 median for the model across every damage type, over the last 36 months. Estimates from past sales, not a valuation.

Question 2

Was $7,200 a good price for this 2022 HONDA HR-V?

Accepted Answer

3027 comparable 2022 HONDA HR-V listings sold at auction for a median of $5,150, spanning $3,550 to $7,600. At $7,200 this one went 40% above that median. Auction prices reflect as-is condition, so the gap usually comes down to damage severity, mileage and whether the car runs.

Question 3

How much below its undamaged value did this HONDA HR-V sell for?

Accepted Answer

The insurer put this 2022 HONDA HR-V's pre-damage retail value at $21,249. It sold for $7,200 — 66% below that. A gap this size is normal for auction vehicles: the buyer takes on the repair cost, the paperwork and the risk that damage is worse than the photos show.

Question 4

How far is this HONDA HR-V from an export port?

Accepted Answer

The lot sat at COPART in CA - MARTINEZ. The nearest major vehicle export port is Long Beach, roughly 200 miles away. Moving a car that distance on an open carrier typically runs $250-$350, which is a real part of the landed cost and one reason identical cars fetch different bids depending on where they sit. Rates are indicative market figures rather than quotes, and rise with fuel prices and in winter.

Question 5

What does "ENGINE STARTS" mean on this listing?

Accepted Answer

ENGINE STARTS is the auction's own condition note for this 2022 HONDA HR-V. It is a short status flag applied by the auction, not the result of a mechanical inspection. Anything beyond that has to come from the photos and a physical inspection.

Question 6

Is 44,700 miles high for a 2022 HONDA HR-V?

Accepted Answer

Comparable 2022 HONDA HR-V listings at auction averaged 51,404 miles across 3027 sales, so at 44,700 miles this one sits 13% below that. At salvage auctions mileage moves the price far less than damage does — a low-mileage car with structural damage will still sell under a higher-mileage clean one.
