Question 1

What do normal wear & tear 2016 HONDA HR-V models sell for?

Accepted Answer

Across 49 recorded sales of the 2016 HONDA HR-V with normal wear & tear damage, the median was $4,050, from $3,050 to $6,075. That is 7% above the $3,800 median for the model across every damage type, over the last 36 months. Estimates from past sales, not a valuation.

Question 2

Was $3,100 a good price for this 2016 HONDA HR-V?

Accepted Answer

2136 comparable 2016 HONDA HR-V listings sold at auction for a median of $3,800, spanning $3,150 to $5,100. At $3,100 this one went 18% below that median. Auction prices reflect as-is condition, so the gap usually comes down to damage severity, mileage and whether the car runs.

Question 3

This HONDA HR-V sold without keys — does that matter?

Accepted Answer

Yes, usually. A missing key means the vehicle often cannot be started or moved under its own power at the yard, so its condition is harder to verify and buyers bid more cautiously. Replacing a modern key and reprogramming it to the immobiliser typically runs into the hundreds. It is one of the more common reasons an otherwise sound car sells below its comparables.

Question 4

What does "NOT RUN" mean on this listing?

Accepted Answer

NOT RUN is the auction's own condition note for this 2016 HONDA HR-V. It means the vehicle started and moved under its own power during a brief check at the yard. It is not a mechanical inspection and says nothing about how far it would drive. Anything beyond that has to come from the photos and a physical inspection.

Question 5

What does a clear mean for this HONDA HR-V?

Accepted Answer

This 2016 HONDA HR-V was sold on a clear. A clean title means no total-loss brand was recorded at the point of sale, which is unusual at salvage auctions and typically lifts the price.

Question 6

Is 1 miles high for a 2016 HONDA HR-V?

Accepted Answer

Comparable 2016 HONDA HR-V listings at auction averaged 107,686 miles across 2136 sales, so at 1 miles this one sits 100% below that. At salvage auctions mileage moves the price far less than damage does — a low-mileage car with structural damage will still sell under a higher-mileage clean one.
