Question 1

What do top/roof 2016 HONDA CIVIC models sell for?

Accepted Answer

Across 18 recorded sales of the 2016 HONDA CIVIC with top/roof damage, the median was $4,050, from $3,100 to $4,800. That is 5% above the $3,850 median for the model across every damage type, over the last 36 months. Estimates from past sales, not a valuation.

Question 2

Was $4,850 a good price for this 2016 HONDA CIVIC?

Accepted Answer

6284 comparable 2016 HONDA CIVIC listings sold at auction for a median of $3,850, spanning $3,100 to $5,400. At $4,850 this one went 26% above that median. Auction prices reflect as-is condition, so the gap usually comes down to damage severity, mileage and whether the car runs.

Question 3

How much below its undamaged value did this HONDA CIVIC sell for?

Accepted Answer

The insurer put this 2016 HONDA CIVIC's pre-damage retail value at $12,427. It sold for $4,850 — 61% below that. A gap this size is normal for auction vehicles: the buyer takes on the repair cost, the paperwork and the risk that damage is worse than the photos show.

Question 4

What does "RUN AND DRIVES" mean on this listing?

Accepted Answer

RUN AND DRIVES is the auction's own condition note for this 2016 HONDA CIVIC. It means the vehicle started and moved under its own power during a brief check at the yard. It is not a mechanical inspection and says nothing about how far it would drive. Anything beyond that has to come from the photos and a physical inspection.

Question 5

This HONDA CIVIC has top/roof and side damage — how does that affect it?

Accepted Answer

Damage recorded in two areas usually points to a heavier impact than either label suggests on its own, and it raises the odds of structural damage behind the panels. The auction records the primary and secondary areas only; it does not assess the frame. Photographs and, where available, a physical inspection are the only way to judge how far it goes.

Question 6

Is 299,991 miles high for a 2016 HONDA CIVIC?

Accepted Answer

Comparable 2016 HONDA CIVIC listings at auction averaged 113,933 miles across 6284 sales, so at 299,991 miles this one sits 163% above that. At salvage auctions mileage moves the price far less than damage does — a low-mileage car with structural damage will still sell under a higher-mileage clean one.
