Question 1

What do side 2026 HONDA CIVIC models sell for?

Accepted Answer

Across 205 recorded sales of the 2026 HONDA CIVIC with side damage, the median was $9,350, from $5,200 to $12,900. That is 6% above the $8,800 median for the model across every damage type, over the last 36 months. Estimates from past sales, not a valuation.

Question 2

Was $12,100 a good price for this 2026 HONDA CIVIC?

Accepted Answer

2028 comparable 2026 HONDA CIVIC listings sold at auction for a median of $8,800, spanning $4,800 to $12,500. At $12,100 this one went 38% above that median. Auction prices reflect as-is condition, so the gap usually comes down to damage severity, mileage and whether the car runs.

Question 3

This HONDA CIVIC sold without keys — does that matter?

Accepted Answer

Yes, usually. A missing key means the vehicle often cannot be started or moved under its own power at the yard, so its condition is harder to verify and buyers bid more cautiously. Replacing a modern key and reprogramming it to the immobiliser typically runs into the hundreds. It is one of the more common reasons an otherwise sound car sells below its comparables.

Question 4

How far is this HONDA CIVIC from an export port?

Accepted Answer

The lot sat at COPART in CA - MENTONE. The nearest major vehicle export port is Long Beach, roughly 200 miles away. Moving a car that distance on an open carrier typically runs $250-$350, which is a real part of the landed cost and one reason identical cars fetch different bids depending on where they sit. Rates are indicative market figures rather than quotes, and rise with fuel prices and in winter.

Question 5

Is 3,488 miles high for a 2026 HONDA CIVIC?

Accepted Answer

Comparable 2026 HONDA CIVIC listings at auction averaged 6,448 miles across 2028 sales, so at 3,488 miles this one sits 46% below that. At salvage auctions mileage moves the price far less than damage does — a low-mileage car with structural damage will still sell under a higher-mileage clean one.

Question 6

How much below its undamaged value did this HONDA CIVIC sell for?

Accepted Answer

The insurer put this 2026 HONDA CIVIC's pre-damage retail value at $28,490. It sold for $12,100 — 58% below that. A gap this size is normal for auction vehicles: the buyer takes on the repair cost, the paperwork and the risk that damage is worse than the photos show.
