Question 1

What do water/flood 2023 HONDA CIVIC models sell for?

Accepted Answer

Across 50 recorded sales of the 2023 HONDA CIVIC with water/flood damage, the median was $8,800, from $4,850 to $12,000. That is 31% above the $6,700 median for the model across every damage type, over the last 36 months. Estimates from past sales, not a valuation.

Question 2

Was $9,400 a good price for this 2023 HONDA CIVIC?

Accepted Answer

4278 comparable 2023 HONDA CIVIC listings sold at auction for a median of $6,700, spanning $3,950 to $9,700. At $9,400 this one went 40% above that median. Auction prices reflect as-is condition, so the gap usually comes down to damage severity, mileage and whether the car runs.

Question 3

How much below its undamaged value did this HONDA CIVIC sell for?

Accepted Answer

The insurer put this 2023 HONDA CIVIC's pre-damage retail value at $23,687. It sold for $9,400 — 60% below that. A gap this size is normal for auction vehicles: the buyer takes on the repair cost, the paperwork and the risk that damage is worse than the photos show.

Question 4

What does a non-repairable mean for this HONDA CIVIC?

Accepted Answer

This 2023 HONDA CIVIC was sold on a non-repairable. That is the most restrictive category: in most US states the vehicle cannot be retitled for road use and is intended for parts or export only. Import rules vary by country, so check locally before bidding.

Question 5

How far is this HONDA CIVIC from an export port?

Accepted Answer

The lot sat at COPART in LA - NEW ORLEANS. The nearest major vehicle export port is New Orleans, roughly 130 miles away. Moving a car that distance on an open carrier typically runs $200-$300, which is a real part of the landed cost and one reason identical cars fetch different bids depending on where they sit. Rates are indicative market figures rather than quotes, and rise with fuel prices and in winter.

Question 6

Is 42,730 miles high for a 2023 HONDA CIVIC?

Accepted Answer

Comparable 2023 HONDA CIVIC listings at auction averaged 38,632 miles across 4278 sales, so at 42,730 miles this one sits 11% above that. At salvage auctions mileage moves the price far less than damage does — a low-mileage car with structural damage will still sell under a higher-mileage clean one.
