Question 1

What do rear end 2022 HONDA CIVIC models sell for?

Accepted Answer

Across 641 recorded sales of the 2022 HONDA CIVIC with rear end damage, the median was $6,700, from $4,200 to $9,200. That is 7% above the $6,275 median for the model across every damage type, over the last 36 months. Estimates from past sales, not a valuation.

Question 2

Was $4,700 a good price for this 2022 HONDA CIVIC?

Accepted Answer

6186 comparable 2022 HONDA CIVIC listings sold at auction for a median of $6,275, spanning $3,725 to $9,200. At $4,700 this one went 25% below that median. Auction prices reflect as-is condition, so the gap usually comes down to damage severity, mileage and whether the car runs.

Question 3

How much below its undamaged value did this HONDA CIVIC sell for?

Accepted Answer

The insurer put this 2022 HONDA CIVIC's pre-damage retail value at $23,500. It sold for $4,700 — 80% below that. A gap this size is normal for auction vehicles: the buyer takes on the repair cost, the paperwork and the risk that damage is worse than the photos show.

Question 4

What does a salvage title mean for this HONDA CIVIC?

Accepted Answer

This 2022 HONDA CIVIC was sold on a salvage title. A salvage title means an insurer declared the vehicle a total loss. Repairing it and passing a state inspection can convert it to a rebuilt title, which stays on the record permanently and affects resale value.

Question 5

What does "ENGINE STARTS" mean on this listing?

Accepted Answer

ENGINE STARTS is the auction's own condition note for this 2022 HONDA CIVIC. It is a short status flag applied by the auction, not the result of a mechanical inspection. Anything beyond that has to come from the photos and a physical inspection.

Question 6

Is 64,340 miles high for a 2022 HONDA CIVIC?

Accepted Answer

Comparable 2022 HONDA CIVIC listings at auction averaged 54,947 miles across 6186 sales, so at 64,340 miles this one sits 17% above that. At salvage auctions mileage moves the price far less than damage does — a low-mileage car with structural damage will still sell under a higher-mileage clean one.
